Hi Eddie. Yea! The type 2s have landed. I started my MB in 1997. I wish I had started it a year earlier with a tube of 96s. Lol. It took me until 2017 to finish, so yeah, 20 years. Good luck on your quest. I really like the new design. It is even better in hand. I am only putting one into my collection of Silver Eagles. I will also put in all the premium Eagles as they come out. Silver Eagles and Libertads are my favorite coins to collect. I am only missing the 95W Eagle from my collection. I have been at it since back in 1995. Stack on!
Nice purchase Eddie. I’m in agreement with you, about the added premium they may carry in the future (being the 1st edition of the new Eagle). Started my monster box challenge a few years ago, so I was lucky enough to get the majority of them under $19 (some as low as sub $17). Now when I add some to the box, I purchase them with a combo of eBay bucks, and credit card cash back dollars. It’s the only way I can justify paying for the bloated premiums. How close am I to completion (of the monster box challenge) you ask? Just TEN shy. Thought I would fill it inside of a year to a year and half, but like most new stackers, I got side-tracked with other offerings (sale items, generic, Gold, etc.). I’m still adding Type 1 Eagles, so that the whole box is Type 1’s. Next, monster box Type 2. Slow and steady, and occasionally splash in a larger purchase with some income tax return money. By the way, I’m still waiting for my tax returns (14 weeks and waiting). Anyways, enjoy your new Type 2’s, and thanks for sharing them with us.
