When a person can do anything they want and they chose a garden, build the most beautiful green house. I am just so impressed. Keep mean chickens that is just to funny. OK so I already liked a lot of her music but now I may have a bit of a crush! Me and my husband have been growing most of our food for years and years, I started small looking for a hobby, and now it's nut. I can (water bath and pressure), I dehydrate, I freeze dry, and just freeze. Seeing her doing this is soo awesome. I hope this helps others try gardening out. Everyone should have the ability to feed their family. Also I'm so jealous over the orchard and fruit bushes. I have no roo. For trees but that's amazing.

We in NW Nevada are still covered in ice / snow and expecting one last blast (hopefully) this week. We have a 150yr old “garage” with a tin roof that is slated to become a greenhouse with cold beds connected. Carrie’s greenhouse project gave some good inspiration
Hello from N .E . Nevada. This November big difference than 2022.. they say this winter will be wetter but a bit warmer…Did you get your greenhouse done? I build ours off off our barn.. turned our above grown swimming pool into a garden and grew lots of beets and kales as a test. Wow.. worked great. Keeps the deer and rabbits out..

...this is actually refreshing. Not seeing celebrities @ clubs and with cars etc. This is down to earth her being a human being. I love it that she reached out and appreciates gardening. I can see her with a few chickens too. :)
Good for Carrie...glad to see she appreciates the value of gardening, clean and fresh food for her family. Seeing the orchard was a surprise, the children will enjoy harvesting, maybe even creating their own apple juice, baking apple pie and soforth. My children and grandchildren enjoy our orchard every year....we call it the Great Family Get-Together, Pumpkins and all. If you have the space you may as well make use of it! This year I am adding another 10 heirloom apple trees that I've grafted onto rootstock (last year)....something I've enjoyed doing for the last few winters....Minnesota winters are sooo long..so by the time the snow is gone, I begin the grafting indoors and pot them, for planting out the following year. It's a nice activity to break things up during the long winters here. I order the Rootstock and Zions in, which are delivered at just the right time, weatherwise. All the best as always. Another great job!

Yes me too! After watching Carrie's video, I watched epicgardening video on planting citrus trees, and Kevin was apologizing to the bugs in the plant dirt, they weren't allowed in his pot lol, then apologizing to Linda Blair the chicken, can tell he has a gentle caring spirit! 😊
Living vicariously through Carrie Underwood for my gardening needs as an apartment resident wasn’t what I expected when I started my day today 😂 Not only did she put in work, but all of her questions were very educated and insightful questions. For only gardening since lockdowns and stuff, she’s very knowledgeable! Kudos 💚
As my grandfather used to say when looking for a wife to look for a down home, do-it-yourself farm girl who's not afraid of hard work who has a lovely personality - Kerry Underwood is that type of farm girl, and just like my mom who was a farm girl, she's a keeper. I can't get over how many different types of fruits and vegetables she is cultivating and harvesting. That's a lot of work. I wonder how much help she is getting from Mike Fisher, her husband. One thing is for sure, the must have the most delicious meals. There is nothing like farm grown tomatoes, potatoes, beans, carrots, etc. In the summer we would visit the farm where my mom grew up, which had a huge vegetable and fruit garden. My grandmother was an amazing cook. It was such a wonderful time to spend with my grandparents at big family gatherings. I wish Carrie all the best with her new greenhouse, outdoor garden and orchard. I won't be surprised to learn if Carrie doesn't give Martha Stewart a run for her money.

As she said sometimes having too many options can make a person unable to come to a decision of what to do. That's going to be a great greenhouse to overwinter in, loved your other greenhouse video and would love to see more greenhouse videos. for people with colder climates a video idea could be centered around geothermal green houses.

Hey, Zac. I agree with everything you said about the fear of food providers, and everything else. My husband died suddenly 4 weeks ago. I've been watching your channel for awhile now, among others, and he thought it was kinda silly. Before he died, he started getting on board, but it was too little, too late. I'm doubling down on everything because I know that almost everything one can buy at the regular grocery stores is basically poison. I’ve always liked Carrie Underwood, this was so endearing though. It’s so awesome watching her talk about potatoes and her mutual fear of starting new things in the garden because it feels like you’re winging everything and the anxiety we all feel in the beginning of “Am I doing this right even???” I also love her saying “I’m not going to let you guys do everything!” It really actually made you know she’s invested in her garden.
It just makes her seem so…NORMAL. You hear all the talk that celebrities have other people do their work but Carrie got in it and is a super hard worker. With all of her fame and success,it just makes her seem so normal and down to earth.

for @Carrieunderwood - spuds need lots of water so if you get that on track, you should have a good harvest and like Jacque said, wait to harvest and don't forget to dry them out afterwards to harden the skins. They will last longer that way.

I hear you. We started with gardening then added a small flock of chickens my husband built our 1st coop from a big wire spool from his work. We have upgraded over the years. We found a foreclosure property and paid cash for it. We added a greenhouse my husband and I built out of old windows. All of my fruit trees were bought going out of business sale. I saved seeds from my garden that we will use to start our garden in the spring.my husband has a good job and I am a substitute teacher. We save my checks.having a savings is a good feeling. I'm still learning and absolutely love your videos 😊

Great collab everyone! I love seeing the potential of growth, being constructed in a garden. Doesn't matter that it's a celebrity garden, and potentially very expensive to set up. Because it's still the same principles and scaled to your budget/resources, wherever you are. Loved Carries enthusiasm, and hope her lovely garden thrives.
So when I was a kid 4-8yrs old. I remember my mom growing potatoes in car tires when the plants got XYZ high he would put a new tire on and fill with dirt. At the end of the growing season the tires were pushed over then it was find the potato. One of the few small good memories I have.

All Carry needs is some rhubarb, it makes great jams, mix with strawberries in pie. It's an early summer plant with huge leaves. The stem is what is used, and very tart, needs sugar, but very tasty. Love her farm.
I've always liked her. I saw an interview a few years ago, the interviewer asked one of her sons what mom did and he said laundry. Her kids were oblivious to the fact she's a superstar. It made me a big fan. This just shows how truly cool she is. What a beautiful place, she deserves it.
my great-great grandfather, great-grandfather, and my grand-dad, my great aunt immigrated from Finland late 1800's to settle as apple orchardists in Tieton, WA. One thing he I remember him teaching me was grafting Golden Apple scions onto different red varieties. The bees were always attracted to the goldens and would pollenate all the reds from the various trees throughout the orchard making it better coverage for the bees pollinating all the entire orchard. He taught me the different methods from a simple method of bark grafting, cleft grafting, whip/tongue and bud grafting. And choosing the right root stock for what soil conditions that the trees are growing in. Since in WA the soil was with very shallow top soil and shale rock just beneath the apricot root stock had a very deep rooting system and kept the apple trees planted from being uprooted or blown over in bad stormy weather and heavy snows in winter. And you talked about hanging in your greenhouse flowerpots, which putting bee pollinators throughout your garden will not only improve your growing success but putting a few bee hives at far end of your orchard will also come great during tax season of lowering ...well you probably got a good tax accountant that probably knows all about how to lower property taxes to near nothing to no taxes paid on any real estate you own. Even without a good tax accountant my Grand-dad, great aunt and uncle were very successful business owners from real estate, orchardists, hunting lodges to deep sea fishing charter boats for wealthy men to hunt and fish on vacations.

Good for Carrie...glad to see she appreciates the value of gardening, clean and fresh food for her family. Seeing the orchard was a surprise, the children will enjoy harvesting, maybe even creating their own apple juice, baking apple pie and soforth. My children and grandchildren enjoy our orchard every year....we call it the Great Family Get-Together, Pumpkins and all. If you have the space you may as well make use of it! This year I am adding another 10 heirloom apple trees that I've grafted onto rootstock (last year)....something I've enjoyed doing for the last few winters....Minnesota winters are sooo long..so by the time the snow is gone, I begin the grafting indoors and pot them, for planting out the following year. It's a nice activity to break things up during the long winters here. I order the Rootstock and Zions in, which are delivered at just the right time, weatherwise. All the best as always. Yes me too! After watching Carrie's video, I watched epicgardening video on planting citrus trees, and Kevin was apologizing to the bugs in the plant dirt, they weren't allowed in his pot lol, then apologizing to Linda Blair the chicken, can tell he has a gentle caring spirit! 😊

As my grandfather used to say when looking for a wife to look for a down home, do-it-yourself farm girl who's not afraid of hard work who has a lovely personality - Kerry Underwood is that type of farm girl, and just like my mom who was a farm girl, she's a keeper. I can't get over how many different types of fruits and vegetables she is cultivating and harvesting. That's a lot of work. I wonder how much help she is getting from Mike Fisher, her husband. One thing is for sure, the must have the most delicious meals. There is nothing like farm grown tomatoes, potatoes, beans, carrots, etc. In the summer we would visit the farm where my mom grew up, which had a huge vegetable and fruit garden. My grandmother was an amazing cook. It was such a wonderful time to spend with my grandparents at big family gatherings. I wish Carrie all the best with her new greenhouse, outdoor garden and orchard. I won't be surprised to learn if Carrie doesn't give Martha Stewart a run for her money.

As she said sometimes having too many options can make a person unable to come to a decision of what to do. That's going to be a great greenhouse to overwinter in, loved your other greenhouse video and would love to see more greenhouse videos. for people with colder climates a video idea could be centered around geothermal green houses.

Before he died, he started getting on board, but it was too little, too late. I’ve always liked Carrie Underwood, this was so endearing though. It’s so awesome watching her talk about potatoes and her mutual fear of starting new things in the garden because it feels like you’re winging everything and the anxiety we all feel in the beginning of “Am I doing this right even???” I also love her saying “I’m not going to let you guys do everything!” It really actually made you know she’s invested in her garden.

It just makes her seem so…NORMAL. You hear all the talk that celebrities have other people do their work but Carrie got in it and is a super hard worker. With all of her fame and success,it just makes her seem so normal and down to earth.

for @Carrieunderwood - spuds need lots of water so if you get that on track, you should have a good harvest and like Jacque said, wait to harvest and don't forget to dry them out afterwards to harden the skins. They will last longer that way.

I hear you. We started with gardening then added a small flock of chickens my husband built our 1st coop from a big wire spool from his work. We have upgraded over the years. We found a foreclosure property and paid cash for it. We added a greenhouse my husband and I built out of old windows. All of my fruit trees were bought going out of business sale. I saved seeds from my garden that we will use to start our garden in the spring.my husband has a good job and I am a substitute teacher. We save my checks.having a savings is a good feeling. I'm still learning and absolutely love your videos 😊

Great collab everyone! I love seeing the potential of growth, being constructed in a garden. Doesn't matter that it's a celebrity garden, and potentially very expensive to set up. Because it's still the same principles and scaled to your budget/resources, wherever you are. Loved Carries enthusiasm, and hope her lovely garden thrives.
So when I was a kid 4-8yrs old. I remember my mom growing potatoes in car tires when the plants got XYZ high he would put a new tire on and fill with dirt. At the end of the growing season the tires were pushed over then it was find the potato. One of the few small good memories I have.

All Carry needs is some rhubarb, it makes great jams, mix with strawberries in pie. It's an early summer plant with huge leaves. The stem is what is used, and very tart, needs sugar, but very tasty. Love her farm.

I've always liked her. I saw an interview a few years ago, the interviewer asked one of her sons what mom did and he said laundry. Her kids were oblivious to the fact she's a superstar. It made me a big fan. This just shows how truly cool she is. What a beautiful place, she deserves it.

my great-great grandfather, great-grandfather, and my grand-dad, my great aunt immigrated from Finland late 1800's to settle as apple orchardists in Tieton, WA. One thing he I remember him teaching me was grafting Golden Apple scions onto different red varieties. The bees were always attracted to the goldens and would pollenate all the reds from the various trees throughout the orchard making it better coverage for the bees pollinating all the entire orchard. He taught me the different methods from a simple method of bark grafting, cleft grafting, whip/tongue and bud grafting. And choosing the right root stock for what soil conditions that the trees are growing in. Since in WA the soil was with very shallow top soil and shale rock just beneath the apricot root stock had a very deep rooting system and kept the apple trees planted from being uprooted or blown over in bad stormy weather and heavy snows in winter. And you talked about hanging in your greenhouse flowerpots, which putting bee pollinators throughout your garden will not only improve your
growing success but putting a few bee hives at far end of your orchard will also come great during tax season of lowering ...well you probably got a good tax accountant that probably knows all about how to lower property taxes to near nothing to no taxes paid on any real estate you own. Even without a good tax accountant my Grand-dad, great aunt and uncle were very successful business owners from real estate, orchardists, hunting lodges to deep sea fishing charter boats for wealthy men to hunt and fish on vacations.
