This is so beautiful! You just gave me such a great idea to make one for my eldest daughter to use as a makeup station, I might even put legs on it! Thank you for sharing your work, it is perfect.
Love it! Just looking for ideas for something to make for grand daughters room for Christmas. Love all of you beautiful ideas and think you did a fab job! Saw a few old cases at local thrift shop, better go nab one. I am going to paint outside.......Pink?! And purchase legs from local hardware store and make it into a vanity table. I have a seat already that would easily be recovered. What does everyone think?, any better ideas. Again, Lovely, and hope ya don't mind me stealing a lot of your ideas.
So cute!! Love all the laces you used! I'm a lace junkie!! I had already purchased an old Samsonite travel case a couple of years ago and ripped the insides out to redo but haven't gotten there yet but guess what?? it's the same blue as your luggage!! LOL. that's funny! TFS!! :)
I appreciate the time and effort to show your process! Turned out just beautiful! LOVE the shabby chic look of it! TFS the tip about the glue sticks. ~Jeanne
Wow! Looks beautiful inside. Perhaps try to remove all hardware and spray paint the outside of the luggage with rust-oleum painters touch 2x ultra cover paint + primer in satin heirloom white. You can find it at Home Depot or Loews. Good luck! Can't wait to see what you come up with. TFS! Maddy
I liked your ideas! I am looking for inspiration for my newly acquired vintage suitcases! I have only painted them so far! I wanted to send you a pic of mine but I can't figure out what to upload a pic!
Hi, I think your case looks great so far! I actually did a process video of redoing one of my traincases. I took out the insides and put in new fabric and new chipboard backing to guarantee the smell was gone forever. I also decoupaged the whole outside of the case with map fabric. I ended up giving it to a friend who really loved it and used it for a travel art case. I would love for you to check out the videos. I had to do the whole thing in 4 segments because it was a lengthy job. Anyways, thank you for sharing your beautiful case with us. Brenda Moffett
