Well, that all depends, dosen't it? It's not a static question. Find me some soft, out of shape person that has never exercised and you or I might be able to "kill with one blow". Generally, that sort of thing is more promotional than factual. Li Shu Wen himself probably "padded" his reputation against old China's version of "boxcar joe", IE, someone without much skill, maybe sick and malnourished who fought to be able to eat, much like some of today's journeyman boxers. Although the LeTai circuit would have been even more corrupt and ill managed than today's combat sports.
Really depends on what you mean by killing with one blow. If you mean hit hard enough to cause internal bleeding then almost certainly yes, if you mean killing instantly then even back then that would only be possible with some very specific techniques. The person you're hitting also matters. Someone with strong abdominal muscles will be harder to injure, particularly if they know they are going to be hit and have time to tense up. Li Shu-Wen lived at a time when medicine was less advanced and less available, so International bleeding would almost certainly be fatal eventually. I can't say who his opponents were since while the Chinese are generally not huge, he wouldn't have been far from Mongolia and manchuria, and there were iron body experts who would be harder to injure. So essentially the answer is, if you mean were/are there people besides Li Shu-Wen who could hit hard enough to cause potentially fatal internal bleeding to an average person or someone unprepared to be hit, yes, actually that's not even rare, if you mean causing internal bleeding to someone who is fit and prepared or to actually kill immediately, probably some but very few.

@@longfeijiang2449 You saw this in Nanchang Bajiquan video? I uploaded and translated that. 😁 Sadly it's a mistake of Adam Hsu, who was not actually one of the better students of his teacher Liu Yunqiao. Look at Jing Liyan, he gives a much better rendition of what Liu Yunqiao Baji has to offer
