Hard to repeat tho UConn is loaded . Houston has been consistently good all season but i think Kentucky will get them .cats have great guard play ,and are deep .tho their defense is less than great. Zona I like to breakthrough and reach the final four .I think the boilermakers win it all .doing what Virginia did in 2019 after losing to a 16 seed the previous season .Iowa st.upsets huskies in elite 8 to make the final four . Washington St .,south Carolina ,mcneese , Mississippi st my dark horse . March madness best time of the year 🏀🏆

Every year Purdue is a favorite to make the final 4. It the closest they’ve gotten in the last decade was an elite 8 appearance like 5 years ago.
Yes! ONLY 5 years ago. A miracle shot from the final 4. It's a top 10 program that could be on the way to planting a new flag in the post season tournament.

Also, it's a program that had those results, not the team. The team changes every year. This year's version has already proven to be much better. Since your into history, check out the the games Purdue won in November and December in the non-conference. Let us all know who they lost to.
Historical results, from year to year, have zero effect on future outcomes. It's simply happenstance. Hard period.
Whoever put that NCAA East together is a menace. The four best teams, UCONN, Iowa State, Illinois, and Auburn all in the East is actually crazy. Whoever wins the East will win it all.

I see an upset in the south region, a more experienced, well coached Vermont team vs a Duke team that hasn’t proven themselves all year. Scheyers knees are shaking looking to maintain Dukes legacy in March, I think he looks ahead to ahead the Jmu/Wisconsin matchup and goes down to Vermont. Vermont can slow the game down with their ability to use the shot clock and find great shots with two senior point guards who’ve scored over 1000 and 2000 points respectively. Becker is one of the best college coaches in the game and you have a catamounts team playing just 3 hours from home. This is recipe for a gym where the crowd is begging to root for Cinderella. Vermont plays great defense , keeps the game close, shoots well from 3 and we get a little Shamir Bougues magic in the final minute to cement Vermonts first win in tournament under Becker. Possibly make a run to the sweet 16.
That's not gonna happen. Duke isn't losing to Vermont. This Duke team might not be what was expected but they are no pushover at all. 7 of their 8 losses was by either 4 or 5 points and the other loss was by 9. They have been in every game they have played, nobody has blown them out, ran away from or dominated them. I haven't checked but I'm willing to beat they're 1 of the few teams in this bracket that didn't lose a single game this season by double digit points. Duke is a very solid team but depends on the 3 ball to much at times and when its not falling it has cost them, actually it has cost them in all 8 of their losses this season. Duke has a solid team with some great shooters and I see them having no problems getting to the sweet 16 where I expect them to meet Houston, and yes I fully believe if Duke plays up to their capabilities they can definitely send the cougars home. Duke haters are just gonna have to be disappointed

The conference title game that Vermont won might have been one of the worst displays of basketball I've seen. No way Vermont is winning this one bud. But one can only hope Duke falls next round

Big Ten literally always falls on its face, it'll be no different this year. You're too high on the conference.
Agreed, Big Ten is cosistently the weakest conference of the Big 5 Power conferences....but, they are treated like they're the number one conference. Purdue can't win 'cause they've gotten used to mediocre teams in their conference. Michigan State getting in with 19-14 record shows how the Big Ten is the most overrated conference in NCAA.

The numbers say this is a big falsehood, the league is among the best in wins per seed meaning they win above the their seeding. The conference has a bad year and that narrative comes out yet they go through stretches of having multiple teams in the elite 8 and final 4 and you hear no praise, whatever
Exactly right. It’s been 24 years since the Big 10 won it all. Looking at recent championship winners, it’s hard to pick against ACC, Big East, and Big 12 teams.
Relying on the past to bolster whatever narrative isn't a good strategy
Me and Andy were almost 4/4 toegther on the final four i picked baylor instead of Arizona and i had Kentucky beating purdue and uconn beating baylor and kentucky wins

I love Grand Canyon's chances, they've improved quite a bit from last year. Added a 20 ppg scorer in Grant-Foster, a much needed go-to scorer that was missing from last szn. Watch out for them cuz they cooking up something down there.

Really? The lowest seed in the final four is a 3 seed? Being a bit too conservative on them predictions.
Honestly, I don't think there will be any Cinderellas this year outside of maybe TCU because I believe Purdue and Kansas are frauds. But I don't see TCU getting past Tennessee.
Very difficult to go with a team and say they upset each opponent until final four. It takes courage but also insanity because you have to forget all the intangibles and just take a leap of faith of some random team.
Bro if you look at the history of the tournament it's rare for seeds higher than a 5 to make the final four. The last couple years are outliers.

New Mexico is a team that is hot and plays so organized on defense. From the 3 guards to the way they rebound is phenomenal. They went 2-1 against SDSU and swept Nevada. I think they are going to be the sleeper this year.

UNC will make it to the final four my problem is can they get past UConn just because of how good of a playing team they are if Carolina can come together during this playoff run then I believe they can win it all

That is because Michigan State gets selected every year, just probability of winning some games if one is always given the opportunity to win, especially when they are seeded as the higher seed (8th or better) 20 of the last 26 years....despite having 10+ loses 10 times.

Hard for me to ever put a lot of stock in west coast teams yet some how my bracket has them going farther than my head knows they should.
Who's everyone's sleeper team? There's always that one sleeper that makes a deep run. Another wide open year outside of UConn. I wouldn't sleep on Auburn. I think they could push UConn. But overall still think UConn gets it done and eventually repeats

Andy the biggest snubs are USF & App State, St. John’s & Pitt! No way FAU should have gotten in over USF. USF(24-7) beat FAU in their only meeting this season and USF finished 1st in conference play. Both lost in semis but at least uSF lost to the tourney champ while FAU lost to Temple who had a losing season. I’m not even a USF fan but that is as bad as it gets. App State(27-6) finished 1st in conference(Sun Belt) play and beat JMU (31-3) twice as well as beat Auburn. JMU won sun Belt tourney while App State lost in semis. Again no justification for snubbing App State with a 27-6 record and beating SEC Tourney champ Auburn(NCAA Tourney #4 seed)! No excuses. I’m not an App State fan either but this snub was just as bad as USF.
At least one more Big East team should've been in it because that is the best conference, Michigan State, coming from the worst of the Big 5 conference got in just because of Tom Izzo and the biasness toward Big Ten teams. No way should the Big Ten have had 6 teams selected.
Man, couldn't agree more about a few. USF got robbed. Literally how much more do they have to prove lol? Imagine being 1st in your conf and not even being considered, what a joke. St. Johns I know did not have the season they hoped for, but that is a solid team with very good players and should have been in with their great game against UConn. No surprise the low IQ committee put in boring Virginia and 14 loss Michigan St.
As much as I would have liked to see more mid majors in, Indiana St. got out just because of the 3 or 4 surprise conf tourney winners. App State though was very good overall but could've should've lost to Georgia Southern so I think it makes sense they were left out. But yeah

@@Arminhammer19 agreed, but App St did beat Auburn and JMU(2x). JMU only lost 3 games all year long and 2 were to App State. JMU beat Michigan State and App State beat JMU. I just want the smaller conferences who are deserving and teams that are deserving from any conf ti get their invite. All the committee needs to do is expand Tues & Weds night play-in games from 4 to 8. This would allow 8 addition teams a chance.
Alabama being the 4 seed getting shipped out west to potentially play 5 seed St Mary’s in Spokane (WCC country) isn’t fair. They’d be better off simply exchanging the seeds to make this seem reasonable.

I have Purdue over Auburn, beating Houston and Baylor respectively. The West region is completely up for grabs. I don’t love any team but I like Scott Drew. I also have 10 seed Drake in the elite 8 😤

I thibk the more you know college basketball the worse your bracket can be at times. Sometimes following statistics is the way to go. Theres always a double digit seed in the sweet 16. Theres always atleast 1 12 seed that wins. Plus depending how many people are in your group that you compete against i thjnk if its a big group just take the 1 team to win each part of the bracket and then get tons of upsets outside of that 1 team.

I think there is a real chance of the following happening:
- Either Western Kentucky upsets Marquette or Long Beach State beats Arizona in the first round
- TCU beats Purdue in the second round
- Colorado is one of those first four teams that makes a run to the Sweet Sixteen
- Duke makes the elite eight
- Uconn repeats

I agree about one of them for sure. People sleeping on Long Beach St. That is a very good 49ers team. I've picked many upsets in past tourneys and I have feeling that's another one.
Don't like Long Beach, and W. Kentucky turns it over a ton (bottom 35 in nation) which makes for terrible matchup vs Marq. Rest I can sort of see. Where will the upsets come from is, as always, the question. Will the Mountain West excel out of conference ? Will St. Mary's / Gonzaga go down vs teams that have a combined 2 top 100 wins on the year ? Will B10 go out early as always - with the popular JMadison picks & Purdue to go out early ? Can't wait
His Big Ten bias is so gross (And I'm a Gopher fan). Crazy, you have every Big Ten school win their first round game. And says stuff like "Just for the record 3 of my 8vs9 matchups I have the 9 winning." Yeah, it's 3 Big Ten schools, of course you do. Or "No one has an answer for Zach Edey." So I've heard his whole collegiate career only to never get past the sweet 16 and lose to Saint Peter.

I follow UConn very closely. This year's team is much better than last year's Championship team. No weaknesses, incredibly deep at every position, completely unselfish, tremendous coach.
I had these exact four before I saw this video
8 times 2 #1 seeds have played in the finals and 5 of those has been sense 2000.

One thing I never understood about March Madness is why the East Champion plays the West Champion and why the South Champion plays the Mid West Champion? Why couldn't the East Champion play the Mid West or South Champion in the Final 4 instead? Or why couldn't the West Champion play the South or Mid West Champion in the Final 4?
Purdue has a clear path to final 4. The 2 teams that will pose a problem for them us UConn's depth and Houston's pressure.

Interesting year again with their only being one complete team... UConn. Everyone else had weaknesses. I think the champ will be either UConn or Kentucky. Arizona isn't making the final 4. I think Purdue is going to play a super-fast "shake n bake" style game in the tourney and smoke everyone by 25 points per game. It's going to be Lakers-Stye Showtime! :) Ok, maybe not. I do like UConn to win it but repeating is difficult to do. UConn can do it for sure, but there should be some exciting games. My underdog team might be the Dayton Flyers. Kentucky is very talented and if they get HOT I agree with Katz that they could be Final Four. Houston is really good but they have to prove that the beat down they took from Iowa State was just a really bad game. Iowa State could be Final Four worthy. I think only one of the No. 1 seeds makes the Final Four.

Unc out in 2nd round if they have to play Mississippi state. Heels better pull for a sparty victory cause Mississippi state is to physical for unc and even though they didn't win their tournament they embarrassed Tennessee and Ave Auburn all they wanted. I'm tellin ya you better hope Spartans win because heels have a better chance against Michigan state. Although if they play like they did against nc state then it doesn't matter. Either match up I think is a tough break for unc, Mississippi state is very good and physical when they're rolling and Michigan State hasn't lived up to what they was expected to be but a few times this season when Michigan state was clicking they looked the part of a final 4 team. I really think unc got a bad draw in the 2nd rd and sure they can definitely beat either of those teams if they play well but if they have a little bit of an off night they could easily get sent home. For the record- 3 of the 4 plays your taking 9 over 8 North-western+ 2.5 , Michigan State Fav -1.5, TCU Fav -3.5 , Andy knows his hoops but the selections are way to chalky for me ,for one UConn will lose, I would love to take his action

I see lots of people picking Auburn..... but wait, they have a head coach with one final four appearances and nothing further in over 20 years with teams far more talented than this year's Auburn team. If only talent mattered then Auburn would be a good sleeper pick, but coaching also matters...and Auburn's talent can't compensate for the rudderless game plan/strategy from their head coach.

Please name ONE tournament he has a losing record in. I’ll wait and you can’t because there isn’t one. He has been NATIONAL Coach of the Year twice, and Conference coach of the year 8 times. Pearl is the 2nd fastest coach to reach 300 wins in all of college basketball, it took him 382 games, 2nd behind Roy Williams at 370 games. He took one of the worst bball programs in the SEC in Auburn and turned them into a power who makes the NCAA tournament every single year, won 4 SEC titles and a Final Four berth. One terrible call away in 2019 vs UVA, from playing for a Natty. Auburn has 8 SEC titles in its entire history and Pearl has led Auburn to 4 of them. He has won 13 conference titles and one national title overall. He has won 672 games, with a .719 winning percentage. But he is a top 5 paid coach because of.. checks notes.. his social opinions you say. He also one of the best in game coaches in the game, especially out of timeouts. You have no idea what you’re talking about
