Matthew Stone is one person who can bring a beautiful sound to the soprano. Most give up because of the lack of warmth and depth of sound but he gets it right.
Matthew, I am a saxophonist residing on Lake Martin, in east central Alabama, USA. I have gone to your channel many times to hear how a tune should be played... tastefully, melodic, with great interpretation. You are out of my league as a player and I have great respect for your talent. I have been playing this tune on tenor sax for a few years, never considered playing it on soprano. Wow. I came to your site tonight to share something of yours with a young musician in Chicago, the son of a friend, a guitarist who I played a gig with this past weekend. "Mikey" is on clarinet now but he will likely be on sax soon enough. I have shared this with him tonight. Thank you for your inspiration.
WONDERFUL MATTHEW, GREAT GREAT SOUND. You are one of my references when I study and I try to look for a ggod sound for my tenor. Playing Soprano your style is wonderful too.
Hi Matthew, my best compliments for your great soloing. I am Michele Ariodante, the guitar player of your backing track. It would be great to play this on stage together, hope we can do this in the future. All the best.
miariod, thank you so much! Lovely playing by the way, I hope I credited the backing track sufficiently! I am full of admiration for jazz guitarists, as a frustrated one myself :-)
I was just beginning to develop withdrawal symptoms - then: your new video arrived! Great job on soprano, Matthew! The video quality is excellent, too.
Donde consigues las pistas de acompañamiento, suenan muy bien, excelente trabajo, gracias un saludo. Where to get the backing tracks, they sound great, great job, thanks a greeting.
Hello Matthew, some time ago I got a Selmer Series 3 soprano from a bequest and I love this soprano. Can you give me a tip where I can order sheet music for ballads with the soprano saxophone? (I'm still a beginner) thank you very much for your help Best regards Fritz

Hey Matthew ! Very nice sound on this enjoying tune ! I’m one of your French fan. I play the saxophone (tenor & alto). I bought a Rode NT 2A as yours due to the fact I love your sound. Could you please be kind enough to provide me the setup you used on your micro (3 buttons) (Cardioid ? filter low frequencies and the third one attenuation of dB ? Thanking you in advance and continue to post your tunes for our pleasure.Christian
