I've started to just help random people do missions, as you mention, sometimes it helps me anyway, and it's a nice thing to do.
I play alone and it's nice when people just give me a hand with the ai or mission. I returned the favor today and sniped all the ai for a team going into a stronghold.

I agree with the boats, they are so underrated, in my opinion and especially playing solo they are one the safest ways to traverse the map
Me remembering the time we used a LTV to kill players in the ocean on a boat XD. Honestly though 99% of the time the water is very safe.
Got to watch out for the pesky attack bird haha it's hard to gun and drive the boat
@@Eastnasty07 that's when you start the contract, get the boat, cancel the contract. But then you're stuck being weighed down by the cargo
Big Tip I can give the cargo missions start one up which causes a gunner version of LTV to spawn in a garage once you open the garage cancel the contract so when you start driving away the attack helicopter doesn’t spawn this also applies to ship cargo which spawns a armored boat this has really helped me and my team in numerous situations.

Number 1 pro tip in my opinion is to use the hostage rescue contracts late game or if your far away from exfil. And you can exfil with the hostage at and it will be a lot less contested from other players since you have your own heli that comes to pick up the hostage and you can just hop in it as well

ALL TeamMates have to be close when opening the door, thats when the timer on the bomb goes on.

I purposefully pick up hostage contracts and cancel then have one of my team set up a nice tent at each exfil.
Except if you are playing with people who don't talk to each other and the first guy to reach the hostage building charges in and get whacked. Meanwhile you and the other team mate are still trying to get to the hostage building and the timer for the explosives are at the half way mark. You have to banzao charge into rooms to beat the time. End result shotgun blast to the face and your squad spend more time resurrecting and surviving than rescuing the hostage who then blows up BOOM.
Except with the new update the AI comes in force and is harder than taking out a team
Definitely realized the increase in AI difficulty because I was on the "don't nerf the AI" camp in the beginning but now Im in the "nerf the damn AI pls" camp.

Yeah solo is straight cock, going in with nothing and getting random headshotted by lone AI at 50 meters 3 minutes into the match is pretty frustrating.
Yep. I was pretty happy with the AI at first. But now it’s incredibly infuriating to go in as a solo and get melted by some random AI.
Bruh the AI needs at least 15 % nerf to make it even viable to play solo it's absolutely absurd how they buffed the AI but the guns literally shooting nerf balls now if they wud nerf the AI a certain % and buffed the guns so they're all useable bc the m16 is 🗑️ ATM take 9 shots on 1 enemy to get them dead

My holes hurt from the ai
At the moment, you don't need any key, cause it's bugged/glitched already. For instance : stronghold : put yourself in front of door (really close with your nose against door), a teammate pushes you in with ATV or Buggy and will actually push you through the door, then you can unlock it from inside and all can loot the whole place. Works for most doors with key at the moment. (I like DMZ mode, but it's a bugfest for now)
Tried it today at police academy on a door I've done it on before and it rubberbands you out of the building now.

A buddy and I used this method on the Fast and Strong mission, clear 3 strongholds in under 15 seconds. Smaller strongholds, jump on truck to see through upper windows and kill a few, one gets pushed in, leaves door locked and clears all but one enemy. Then unlock door and kill enemy. Boom. Roasted.
@@simon-jv4qb Still works, yes. It oddly didn't work with a few vehicles types. Then we tried an AI enemy armored vehicle and it worked. Who knows? lol

I found if you need a ton of something to exfil with than you can bring in like the stims mission. Spawn in and find a weapon reaupply on the map usually near by spawn. Stow your item, reaupply getting 2 more. And you can rinse and repeat every 60 seconds. I try to always build to 5-7 stims at spawn if I’m going in after a lost round and don’t have good armor plates. The few minutes it takes is well worth it.
Thx for the tips. I have found myself playing solo DMZ lately to complete challenges and such. Such a fun game mode but can be frustrating at times too with the relentless AI.
On missions you have to extract with lethal a or tactical, just hang out at an ammo depo. You can keep refilling your tactical and lethal by 1 every minute after cool down. When you get 2, just stow in your backpack. No need to leave the building. Then just extract

You can also just stock up on Muni boxes, paid ones at buystation never not let you equip them, and do the same at the dead drop with your teammates. Had a three man once where we had to dead drop lethals and gas and shit and we just all got a muni box and went to the drop where we each used our boxes to restock and drop. Completed the entire mission in one go.

If you really need to refuel/repair a vehicle and the station is occupied, if you park in the station the vehicle will get done even if you aren't in it.

Also. Dock pumps for the boats that are attached to land, you just drive near it and it refills / repairs. They rarely if ever have humans or a.i. It's been a life saver numerous times for me.
My squad and I (friends irl) that have day jobs only get to play for a few hours each night. We take our insured weapons in on the first and last matches only. At the end of the night for our final game, we all run to exfil immediately and swap weapons, that way we have a hefty supply of pro tuned contraband weapons. My contraband inventory is always full of bad ass armor melting lead spewing ARs and LMGs.

I really don't understand people who try to play this without a mic not to mention a squad. I've given up on playing it without a party. 9 times out of ten my 2 teammates will go in opposite directions, get wrecked by bots and back out before you can even revive them...fun
Yeah it's really not designed for random squads with no mic. Out of all our randoms I think we've had two who were useful
Randoms on my nerves with that...or they'll come into the map stirring up all the ai they can find smh...its a death wish

The using the weapon case to draw other operators to a location is definitely going to be used now. Probably the most relevant tip I had not yet considered.
Got my weapon case mission done by using the LTV with the gun to steal it from a team trying to exfil. Even used the helo they called to get away.
@@aarongomez2032 it's moments like that, which are why I enjoy DMZ so much lol. Wish I could get my friends into it, but the first few games are always confusing/off putting.
I had a moment like that when DMZ first came out, weapon case squad about to exfil.. My 6 man full of strangers rolls in and wipes them, I get the case and we all exfil lol. Those moments are arguably more fun than a warzone W in my opinion. Something about having your gear/loot on the line is fun.
Only thing I would change is always carry throwing knives for close quarters and saving ammo
Semtex for the riot shields is clutch tho. Also the ftac is a realllt good gun for saving ammo. Uses the same ammo as assault rifles but operates more like a marksmans.

Probably already posted, but... If you use ground loot such as the RPK, you can pick up RPK's after kills and get the ammunition. Kind of like the scavenger perk.

I've had the Basilisk mission running forever because it isn't counting when I loot it, and on patch day I noticed I went up a tier so I thought it was bugged and went back to find it and turn it back on. Wait wait wait... you mean you should work as a team in DMZ. Not just charge headlong into the AI? Cam someone please tell the random guys I have been playing this. Please... my last game lasted 2 minutes before they were dropped by the AI.
Me and my squad are about to have to do the mission to get operator kills at the mall and we thought it was going to be impossible but that weapons case tip is a great idea!!!
My team and I teamed up with another group and we just took turns killing each other and revive and it worked just fine. We did the case as well but the team killing was easier.
I like using thermites because when you throw it at Shields they drop them and then you can pick it up and beat them to death with it

Also for the secondary weapon i found using shotguns is really good against the armored agents mainly the expedite 12 and the bryson 800, 890 shotguns
sniper rifles with armor piercing rounds as well, its good to clear them out from a distance and then move in. Pretty fun as well.

For everyone asking how to skip missions.
Complete 5 of the 6 missions which unlocks the 7th mission all the way on the right. Once you complete the locked mission you move to the next tier with new missions.
I just guilt tripped my friends into downloading it n we've been having a blast.. got a designated marksman, lmg gunner, and a rifleman with a grenade launcher... easily one of my favorite game modes thus far when I need a break from regular mp

For shooting down Reinforcement Choppers with the Sakin LMG its gotta be done while doing Missions or Strongholds only found that out the Hard way!

What are the top tips you can offer to a player (like myself) who often plays solo? Since I am retired, I have a lot of free time (while most of my friends still work full-time). So, I often play alone because I've found that if I join with randos everyone has their own agenda and runs off to do their own thing.

Also if u need to get inside the Sa'id mall you can enter through the vents on the side
Or the roof from the top floor of the parking garage
I load in and do a destroy supplies contract first usually then go buy a lot of plates (or backpack/vests)
Thanks for the video. Quick input : for the comfort of the viewer, i'd lower the sound of the game. Sometimes hearing all the shooting and blasting gets in the way of the comfort of listening to the tips. Just my 2 cents
In high ground you can go in to the gun wall and choose what gun u want to max equip it in main slot and fly the gunner helo. U will max weapons faster bc it is based on kill streaks. Your team has to complete however to get xp. Has not been patched as far as i know.
My always loudout:
Spotter Scope, Throwing knife, Munitions Box
Find a medium backpack first
Then 2/3 armor plate vest
Then Self Res
Cigar boxes can be found in the small shacks, in the palace grounds.
DMZ definitely got harder AI’s are OP gotta be on your toes but the stim Semtex combo is essential! Good tips, I still need to get that gold 50.
Just climb down through the roof you don't need the key
I had a spawn yesterday that was near the river and it was brutal. Team almost hot wiped immediately. Took me a while of running in and out trying to clear enemies to review team mates.
Here's the problem I have playing DMZ
Pros:
- I'm good against AI
- I dont care about doing missions so I can be support to fill out a 3rd slot
Con:
- I've done about 100 drops, I've never successfully killed another player on my own. I'm not an expert or tournament/ranked player, so I'm not the best at PVP
I definitely think there's space for a game like DMZ without PVP, l guess Destiny or the Division is the closest that exists right now?
@@GeekyPastimes that's my biggest problem with games now: forced multiplayer. Now, I'm not saying someone should be able to play DMZ with bots only and still earn xp and rewards. No, but the devs could still make it a pve only for single players *without* gaining any of that. Like local 6v6 with adding bots, it's not about gaining anything but practicing. Players that are super good (and not using hacks or anything) have earned the right to be as good as they are, but some of us work from 4 am to 9 pm and can only play about 5 to 10 hours in a week. Casual players like me. It'd be nice to play against bots only at the cost of gaining xp. Also, because I'm not interested in buying dlc for Destiny 2, I'm basically locked to lvl 20 and can't get any more missions and I have The Division 1 and 2 and I honestly don't think they're very good personally

i think it'd be cool if there were different modes like in warzone.
Where you can start in a solo lobby (when you have no friends to play with like me) or in a regular trio squad.
One of the missions is IMPOSSIBLE when you're trying to do it in Solo.
The tunnel where you have to place tac-cams in the entrances.
This should be done even if you're alone.
I hate it when games try to pressure me into something i don't want.
I don't think any of the missions are designed around solo play, they expect you to always have a team
You should have limited tactical and lethal equipment. Great use for money post game. Let me buy an insured weapon too. Let me craft shit. Outside of small gripes, by FAR my favorite mode.

I was/am stuck on the challenge where you have to destroy the reinforcement helicopters with the LMG at the airport terminal.
I had all the correct attachments but it wasn't counting for me.
As it turns out you need to be MOUNTED for it to count. It doesn't explicitly say that so I thought it was bugged.
I didn’t need to be mounted. It’s just glitchy. I had to make sure nobody else shot it but me though
I’ve tried many times to be passive when I encounter other players. But it’s just pointless with the CoD community. They will ALWAYS shoot at you the first second they see you. Don’t even risk it.
I hopped on a exfil heli with 1 guy and he started shooting me, I even jump out of the heli because I didn’t want to kill him. and he continues to kill me as he’s flying away. He didn’t even get my gear he just wanted the kill.

Same here. I keep requesting other players to join my squad or request to join their and everyone ignores and just kills me. Like, wouldn't it be better/easier for everyone to just help each other out? Lol

Whether you're hunting players or avoiding players, the spotter scope is much more useful than any other tactical in dmz. Considering most thermal scopes either don't give a good view of the environment or enemies don't glow at distance. (edit) Another tip: For snipers (unless you're good at quickscoping headshots) muzzle velocity + idle stability > ads speed + damage
Wait...people actually AVOID players...on purpose? I've had games where my duo and I were trying to get missions done for the 2nd insured slot reward so we just took fights as they came, but there's people that will actually run from every fight..? Tf?

I’m so glad I’m not the only one who thought this. I was like the AI is like fucking Skynet now. They have eagle eye vision and it seems if you alert a group of AI in one area 2 miles away they magically KNOW you’re in the vicinity. I knew they probably upped the difficulty!
In the LMG chopper mission you need to take the choppers down DURING the loading off of the AI enemies. Not before, not after, or it will fail. Go for the bigger choppers, the smaller ones are gone way too soon.
I always play solo , it gets tuff but it's the only way I can get anything done mission wise
This video was helpful. Still doesn't change the fact that I hate dmz. I only have been playing it to help my friend unlock the m13b. To no avail, we attempted to spawn and leave after I drop it for him, and everytime we got killed by a three man team.
Also you can refill cars at stations without being inside them.
Good guide and tips at least when we did the mission to extract with someone's weapon it worked first time :)

So I made it to the top of the skyscraper, parachuting about 500 ft to a boat, there are no AI around as I descend. As soon as i man the boat, 5 AI spawn on the boat dock. Smh.

Not only do you fight smart AI but you’re also up against other players… this game is brutal.
It might just be frustration getting to me but I feel like they nerfed the drop rate for stronghold keycards.
Armored enemies seem to drop them a little more frequently from my experience
@@tiggerblood Yeah they do, but the armoured enemies seem to be dropping them less frequently than they used to.
9:48 I think it has to be someone's insured weapon which just makes it a bit harder
But you'll know if you pick up a enemies weapon with camo or a charm

TURN OFF CROSSPLAY instantly easier.Half full lobbies as well
I try to drive the armoured pick ups if possible because bots drive those too. Any other vehicles only human players drive so if you see any the other vehicles on the map in red you know it is a team of operators not bots.
Love good DMZ streams so subscribing is a must.

about weapon extract ... i dont know how, but I have that done... maybe we need to get insured weapon from any player and extract. I didn't made any Hunt contract, but took a weapon from dead guy and it counted.

That ai buff is kill g me tho. They all went from hard to seasoned trained try hards.
You can also get 10k for those delivery missions and its either a boat with guns on the truck with guns and a chopper comes and its easy money.

I just wish DMZ had a solo play version because I'm never going to get the M13 which is fucked up putting it behind a gamemode.
the mode needs a lot of work, hope they can take it into the right direction and not pander to the warzone sweats that only want to player kill. they should not, period, be listening to them at all for their input regarding the mode
DMZ is lots of fun but doesn't feel very challenging in a group. Love going solo in the dmz.

Bro you can kill one person at a time. Do that 3 times and you are good.
Or kill one and place a claymore on them for one a teammate tries to come revive them

I just started playing this game and really like the dmz mode. I just don't know what I'm doing at all. I just follow my teammates around and kill people. No one really helps and when and when I did get a lil help I had no idea what the dude was talking about lol.
for Number 9 you can easiely get about 100k per ssafe if you are a team of 3 or if you more then that 1 weapon safe is more then enough there are some tricks ;)

Another one I found out recently and didn’t get to try yet is refueling while driving. You can’t be in the drivers seat but if you have a fuel can in your squad the person with it should be a passenger so they can enter their backpack and use it when needed
It's so easy to get distracted! I'll have some specific missions to do and then I'll spawn in and end up doing something completely different.
