I dont care what the reason is. There is no excuse for leaving bruises on a kid. I had plenty of that as a kid and it just made me hate more. Thank God for my wife and her family. I learned to love with everything in my soul again.
I think the test asked if she made marks or bruises. You can make a red mark when you spank and it doesn't necessarily turn into a bruise.

I know this doesn't help, but your dad doesn't deserve you. I am watching my brother choose women over my niece, and has done so since she buried her mother. That piece of shit doesn't deserve her. Just like your dad doesn't deserve your love and time if he can't really appreciate the most amazing thing ever given to him in this life along with your brothers. I am happy you are doing better, and hope at no point in life you question your self worth because of that asshole.
My father would do the same thing: pick anyone but me over me. He refused to accept I have Asperger's, and because I didn't fit into his narcissistic world, he discarded me, and to this day, I struggle with severe complex trauma and my self worth. I chose men like him: emotionally unavailable, and abusive, my son's father being the most notable. He groomed me to be a people pleaser. I had to go to extreme lengths to earn his love. He was active in my life, but he made his rejection of me clear. He only acknowledged my superpower unless it benefited him. But despite all that, I'm an empath, and I have a son of my own now, and I'll make sure he won't spend his adulthood recovering from his childhood. My father's mother destroyed her 4 kids' lives in ways you can't imagine.

I know when I was younger, I would beat myself up about why my own dad didn't love me enough to spend time with me and what I did to be treated like that. She deserves way better.
I remember at one point I ended up moving in with my grandparents and I set up a weekend to visit my dad and I asked "Can it please be just us? None of your girlfriends. I just want to spend time with you." And he actually told me "That's not possible." When I asked why, he said "Because I have needs."

He made no effort to try to help her. He intimidated the crap out of her. I knew her when she was a teenager and wish to God I had known she was going on this show; I found out after the fact. I would have tried to talk her out of it. I pray for Amanda. She's got a lot of growing up to do, but I have faith that she can if she sets her mind to it. Her life has not been an easy one throughout her years. Some of it is of her own making, but some of it isn't. I'll leave it at that. When your life is perfect then laugh. But in the meantime try to show some compassion.

lie detector test shouldn't be used anymore, a man that was innocent failed the test 4 times and he was charged with capital murder (can't remember which charge it was) but he got the death penalty and 2 to 3 weeks they actually caught the right guy, of course after executing the innocent man.

So I've watched this, went through all the comments, and holy shit y'all went crazy. Tbch, I personally know her. She's a current friend of mine. I've witnessed first hand how hard she tries for her kids. She's called them every day for as long as I've known her. She's a manager now at a Subway. I know how hard she's trying. And I know she isn't one to give up because someone knocked her down. And she's been trying to find her own apartment, however a lot of the areas around here are booked.
