Honor to watch and learn from such a humble expert! Transmissions are intimidating to me?! Most I have been into have similar heat and slop issues through many miles of abuse. Never met you or big John some how still felt involved?!🤣 really enjoy following what your doing! Thank You for sharing such wonderful content!!!!!
Thanks for the kind words. I'm no expert but I try my best. Glad the video made you feel involved as that is great and I love to have everyone involved in what is going on. Thanks for commenting.
As a chopper guy, I'm always going to want a rachet top. Simply because it's easier and cheaper to do a hand shift, but a cow pie seams to shift a bit smoother and yes, I'm excited to see Margaret. Sadly I lost the rear cylinder on my David Mann bike. Now I'm scrambling to get it ready for Born Free TX in 10 days. Keep up the good work Ralph
Sad to hear that Hip. You will find another bike to steal a motor out of for the show I'm sure lol. Ratchets are better for hand shift I agree. Thanks for commenting.
Good morning 🌅, very nice work, you just need patience , and that is definitely what you need, to do a fine job like you’re doing, well worth effort, well done, from France.
Wow the force needed to distort the race like that is wild. It's really obvious on camera thanks for showing it so clearly, the wobble on 4th gear and the sprocket ... due to lack of oil causing heat to build up? Thanks for doing these videos they are a HUGE help for guys like me doing this stuff for the first time.
It is something that some times gets over looked. Yes lack of oil and heat, and main bearing and 4th gear bushing worn, out could contributed to that moving. Glad you are enjoying the channel. Thanks for commenting.
Hello from Michigan Ralph, you’re making great progress on your recent project. Looking forward to seeing the completion.. I put my Merch custom that you graciously mentioned on one of your episodes with the front cover of magazine that was very cool that you did that I’m sure your buddy Mr. merchant appreciated it as well having his engine shown on your TH-cam. Bike is now in storage in our garage on top of my lift for the winter here in Michigan covered until spring. Wishing you and yours a great holiday and new year! Alex
I have no thoughts on cow pie versus ratchet top transmissions because I have no experience with either but I sure do like watching your videos because I know a little bit more about the cow pie transmission now. Most of my experience is with 70's triumphs. Love your channel man. Love learning from you. Have a great day man.
I am in the east coast of Canada. If you are here, in the martimes, shoot me a message at ralph@itsmytimeletsgo and I will let you know where my business is located. Thanks for commenting.
Damn what a pain in the ass! I do not know what that new case cost + your labor but if it was my bike i would have just bought a Baker 5spd. Like how you try to save the old stuff, but that is probably a Tedds case which i have had problems w/ in the past. Correct me if i am wrong, as always enjoy the channel.
Glad you are enjoying the channel. You could not afford a Baker Trans up here in the great white north. They are thousands of dollars up here. I certianly could not afford one. There are some good parts and some bad ones. We have all experienced the bad ones at one time on another. Thanks for commenting.
What's your thoughts on Cow Pie transmissions vs Ratchet Top Transmissions? Love to hear your opinions, let us know!
Still moving forward!!!! That's what's important!!!!
You got that right. Thanks for commenting.

Things are never dull and I continue to see new problems all the time, always learning. Thanks for commenting.

Where do you source parts like that trans case? I would expect that to be real hard to find.
I have distributors that carry them. Getting harder to find these days. Thanks for commenting.
