The video was informative, however to provide some insight into the condition of the bottom end, at the very least a main (say number 4) and big end cap should have been removed. Thanks.

Re lower chain
Measure the play on the chain before removal, then measure the play on the new chain at the same point. This should indicate if sprockets have undue wear. Good luck.
