Thanks Colin, I’m in a time-zone where it would be tough to join-in live but catching-up on TH-cam is perfect (thanks). A future topic that I’d love to see covered would be hernia-prevention advice (if this isn’t a futile notion) in extreme-ish sports like windsurfing and dinghy sailing/foiling. I’m 5-weeks post surgery so I know this is thinking quite a long way ahead but seeing videos of ostomates in gyms etc. makes me think that there could be some good advice that can help me discover where the boundaries could be for me being the new me. I’ve already bought two stealthbelts, super-happy to have found your great company. Lots to learn but I’m already a fan of your products. Thanks

We definitely have this on our to do list, it’s an important topic. It’s not futile, just have to communicate with your medical team and build up over time. Here are a few exercises to try: 10 Ostomy Core Strength Exercises For Beginners

You can bring your own water bottle too. They just test it in a machine. One agent asked me why I'm allowed. I said because I have to be careful not to dehydrate.

This is a great tip. TSA can be tricky.

@@STEALTHBELT I really didn't have a problem so far. I fly mostly from NJ to Florida several times a year. Some tsa agents aren't very familiar but I always explain that I'm allowed my own water, which is alkaline and has electrolytes. Because I have to be careful to not dehydrate. They usually have a stupid look on their face and just test my water bottle in a machine and let me through

Hey Collin, thanks again for the great presentation and Q & A here. After giving it some thought, I did think of a topic that I'd like to know more about: Sleeping with a Stealth Belt? (Benefits, how to go about doing it, ect.) I've heard many testimonials from people saying they wear their belt almost 24/7, so I'm a little curious as to how that works. So, another one to add to your topic pile! 😅

We can absolutely add that to our list! That’s a great topic. I’m one of the team members that have an ostomy and I highly recommend sleeping with a slip on style belt on because it saves on laundry a bit. It absorbs fluid until you get to a restroom to change your appearance if it leaks during the night.

I have not done hot springs or tubs with ostomy, does it affect the appliance at all

Sometimes without a belt your adhesive may loosen around the edges, but the Stealth Belt holds everything securely without restricting output.
