The colombian accent is the most clear and easy-to-understand variety of Spanish. I've learned Spanish in Bogota, where I was lecturer of Persian as a foreign language at UN or Universisad Nacional de Colombia from 2010 to 2012. It was a great opportunity to learn Spanish but unfortunately I haven't had any chance to use it after that time. Thank you for your useful videos. I will practice Spanish watching these videos. I was missing the melodious voice of Spanish-speaking people.
I'm a slow but steady learner. It's taken me a lifetime to get where I am. But I do think in the end I'll be able to go to my grave knowing how to speak Spanish. You two have helped me more than anyone else. Gracias Cody y María.
I mean. Think about how small your vocabulary was at age 5. At 10. And how unintelligent you probably sounded then compared to now. Took you your whole life to get as good st wnglish as you are today. Any other language would be the same

Its so weird to be able to understand you, sometimes i think, "wow i can understand what shes saying!" and i snap out of spanish for a moment. i really have to focus and stay "in the zone" but im able to understand basically everything you say here without subtitles. The "fog" slowly lifts...bit by bit, month by month, year by year. I really appreciate your videos and shorts!

Agreed, it's great to be able to really understand someone in another language without too much effort. That said, I feel like she intentionally uses simpler vocabulary a lot of the time, and of course enunciates better than normal. I can probably understand 90% of her videos without much effort, but if I turn on a Spanish TV show, it's probably more like 75% if I focus. Anyway, I love the feeling of progress. There are Spanish songs that I've been listening to for a couple years since I've been practicing, and every now and then I'll just "unlock" a new part of the song I didn't previously understand because I was missing the vocab or understanding of an expression.

En Venezuela tambien decimos por si las moscas 😀. “Me da lo mismo” también se puede intercambiar con “Me da igual”. María porque no haces un vídeo sobre “de repente”? Me parece interesante que la usamos como sinónimo de quizá y también para expresar alguna evento que ocurrió repentinamente. He visto que es más usado en latino America como sinónimo de “quizá/a lo mejor” en comparación con España. Saludos

Nunca lo he oído de esa manera, pero yo diría que sí. En un contexto donde alguien te esté contando algo demasiado personal tú podrías decir “más de la cuenta”, quizás con un gesto. Yo iría por la expresión: “mucha información” (creo que es un calco del inglés pero lo escucho mucho entre personas más jóvenes).

Esas frases me ayudan mucho. Gracias. Algo interesante que aprendí recientemente. La soledad puede causar hipotiroidismo por un rato y por eso se nos hace un nudo en la garganta. Las tempuradas en que era lo más solo he tenido ese nudo de la garganta.

Todas se pueden usar de esa forma. Por si las moscas puede de ser de uso más coloquial y regional entonces usa por si acaso.
