I wish I was half as good at Insurgency: Sandstorm as Gibs was. Any time I crawl out of Domination, I get stomped.

No 3 practice no 2
It feels like the only way to enjoy the game is to be at his level or higher. There is always some nuanced reason or way of thinking that separates players like this, to the rest of the player base. You just have to play really sweaty and put in the time and work. Whether you do it or not, all depends on whether you genuinely think this game is worth the effort or not.
@@tekkn_579 unless you have reaction time of grandma and aim like average controller player . With positioning and map knowledge you can kill any god level player in this game .

I think he or sick snipes already made such a video. Basically Desert smear is the best security camo. No woodland camo as you're in a sandbox in 90% of maps. Ditch coloured goggles that make you stand out. As for Insurgents black works in the shadows but I just larp as a Russian merc.

@@echohiswxrdd6799 I can swear sick snipes had a video on basic tips where he states desert smear is the best (I've like 500 hours in game so can confirm) but can't find it either. Basically, anything that's not green is good. But camo doesn't do much. It's more about map knowledge late game. Like people never really get eyes on me because I'm shooting them from places they don't expect. Some tips id give if you're talking about stealth and remaining undetected, learn to slow walk which reduces your noise, wear a gas mask so your voice lines are muffled and you don't accidentally cough behind an enemy. A lot of the time you don't need a suppressor as a sniper since you're far enough that it doesn't matter. My main as a sniper is a mosin (best gun in the game) with a flash hider... 6 or 8 power scope (been a while since I played can't remember) and a bipod I rarely use. Flash hiders are invaluable since firing amidst smoke will telegraph your location to your enemy. Suppressors on something like a sniper rifle make it a little too long (having a long weapon means you'll drop your rifle if you're against a wall or a person since obviously you don't have the space). Dont fire from windows or stick your rifle out the window. Fire from back inside the room so you can't be seen. Apart from that it's all map knowledge. Appearing where you shouldn't be. Firing from where no one is looking. A suppressor is useful then but for stealth, knowledge is most important. If you're new just stick with your team and cap points since that's what matters most. KD doesn't really matter in sandstorm. More experienced guys will know where enemies will spawn, where they will be likely to hide or push through. But most important is have fun :). Like my insurgent character wears a blue and white striped shirt with nightstalker pants and I can hide places no one thinks about. Enemy can't see you if they don't know where you are to begin with. Helps as a sniper to move around after a shot or two once no ones looking and be unpredictable.

@@echohiswxrdd6799 it's good you play rifleman I can't count the amount of times I've had level 20s choose commander and call artillery on our spawn point lol. I'm level 221 I think last I checked. Surviving long isn't the aim of the game really. Be useful to your team that's the best advice I can give. I'll say some other stuff like armour is next to useless and only possibly protects you from an extra shot (at which point you're slowed anyway so you're dead) or maybe save you from an explosive at distance. I'd say to survive long as an asset to your team, be places your enemy isn't looking and take out as many as you can before they find you. If you're attacking sneak around them, wide flank. But most of this comes with experience as you learn how others play you learn how to counteract them. If you're going sneaky choose your shots, don't have to kill everyone sometimes it's better to stay undetected. Dudes will literally walk right past you if you don't move sometimes. I'm not a spawn killer but I've walked accidently into an enemies spawn once or twice and you'd be surprised how oblivious people are when you're somewhere they feel safe

New players running into smoke/gas and not listening to teammates telling them to put the gas mask on is easily the most annoying and funny thing in sandstorm. Lost 3 players on my tram in a row running into gas with no masks on while I pleaded with them to mask up.
After watching replays, I'm surprised by how many security veterans I've killed with gas on the point. Some of them really don't bother equipping a mask.
@@OZTutoh "muh attachments". Honestly an M16 is great, every gun is lethal. I use a G3 with a 2x Red dot loading grip and flash hider. Ditch the armour, don't take mags you won't live to use. Idk if I really get kills with gas but if you catch them unaware it's good for area denial and to shove them off the point
@@user-fn1cq4df3g I always use light carrier, 5 mags is plenty. but yeah no armor is good unless the enemy is spamming nades on obj. I cant tell you how many frag triples and quadruples I have gotten on objective from people with no armor lol. doesnt do jack shit against high caliber bullets as far as I know. 7.62 still one taps even with heavy armor.
@@user-um3fx2vk8r you can always throw the nades back 😉. Trick is to not be around when they go off or be somewhere you're not expected. Best policy with armour is don't get shot in the first place.
@@user-fn1cq4df3g true, ive killed an enemy before by throwing their nade right back at them lmao. its hard tho because I go up against very skilled level 1000~ players and im only level like 230 lol. I have around 400 hours in the game but I still need more practice

Yo Gibs can you cook grenades on sandstorm? I see you holding them for a little longer, is that you tryna get the best angle or cooking the nade a bit ?
When holding a grenade if you left click first its an overhand throw/right click first its an underhand throw, whichever side you click first the opposite click pulls the pin and you can cook the grenade before throwing.

MGE Gibbs should try semi only instead of burst plus irl the military uses semi automatic is obvious more accurate and can put more rounds down range
Full auto is indeed used …… mostly for suppressive fire or in Controlled bursts in Close quarters since one round might not be enough to take down an enemy .
I think Co-Op is extremely worst than the PvP one, these bots are always in god mode, adamantine flack and Terminator/Predator aim bot mode
We wont talk about the potato aim at 2:08 lmao. Personally I dont ever use burst bc its better to just transfer sprays with the mp5 since it doesnt shoot too fast but all personal preference you should make a vid with the shotties with flechettes
I really hope keyboard and mouse does not come to insurgency sandstorm for console this is just stupid
