Upon being diagnosed with ckd-3b I’ve gone plant based and pescatarian but finding it difficult to enjoy dark leafy green salads and veggies because of the phosphorus. Also meeting a low protein goal while trying to lose weight.

The naturally occurring phosphorus in healthy whole food plant based foods is not well absorbed. Those foods have many health benefits. The foods to be concerned about are ultra processed foods which have added phosphorus and is highly absorbable. A whole food plant based diet is good for weight loss and can help with getting the right amount of protein.

Three weeks ago, I had a TIA (mini-stroke) and while i was in the hospital, my eGFR dropped to 19. It's up to 26 now, but it was a bit higher before. What can I do to help with the healing process?

I recently suffered a series of THREE TIAS! I didn't know what they were until the last one landed me in the hospital for a few days... while there, testing showed my eGFR had dropped to 19, too, and I just had new labs drawn, waiting for the results... hoping for at least some recovery!
