    Herzlichen Glückwunsch 👏
    Du hast es geschafft👍
    Ich bin bei Bauphase 25, also auch ziemlich weit. Und mit deinen tollen Videos schaffe ich den Rest auch noch😉
    Die Ducati ist ein sehr schönes Modell, aber die Bauanleitung von Pocher ist eine Katastrophe. Ich hab den Lamborghini von Pocher gebaut und wusste was auf mich zukommt, aber diese Anleitung war noch schlimmer 😡
    Bei den Leitungen wusste man teilweise gar nicht wo die angeschlossen werden. Aber Dank deiner Hilfe war es kein Problem 👍
    Dann viel Spaß bei deinem nächsten Projekt. Ich werde deine Viedeos weiter verfolgen.
    Bleib gesund und viele Grüße aus Deutschland von Holger

    splash builder says in video the electronic suspension is not right, why pocher add it then

    • @splashbakermodelbuilding
      @splashbakermodelbuilding  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Just guessing, but maybe it was leftover in the manual from an earlier version? Pocher should edit the instructions better.

    Superb build quality. You also remembered that the fuel cap has to be in silver colour !!! Congratulations :-) But the Panigale R V2 final edition has no electronic chassis to keep a lower weight.

      Hi and thank you. True on the electronic suspension, but I decided to use what Pocher provided. I would have preferred regular top caps.

    A very useful video thanks. It does look like you have the brake and clutch levers at an odd angle though - they look like they are angled up, which is the opposite to how you would have them on the bike. I’d have had no idea where a lot of the tubing was supposed to go if I’d only had the instructions to go by… 👍

    • @splashbakermodelbuilding
      @splashbakermodelbuilding  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, I think I did set the levers incorrectly, I don't think it's quite right. I didn't notice it at the time for some reason. Agree, the instructions from Pocher, or lack of, were terrible IMHO.

    • @sp00ky1969
      @sp00ky1969 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@splashbakermodelbuilding I'm trying to figure out where parts S 04 and 07 should have gone... same colour and on the same bit as the exhaust parts but I cannot see them anywhere in the instructions. Horrible instructions. As for figuring out where the hoses go, I think you need to be a bike mechanic to know...

    • @splashbakermodelbuilding
      @splashbakermodelbuilding  ปีที่แล้ว

      @@sp00ky1969 Hi again! So... this is my best guess; I think Pocher used the same instruction manual and some parts as the earlier S version and just made some updates, some of which were incorrect. Those two parts may have been used on the S version, but not the FE version. I did have some leftover parts. Other mistakes included the electronic suspension which the FE version did not have. The kit calls for the 2 cables under the seat that go nowhere (I removed them). The fork caps are the ES version, again incorrect for the FE version. Also, in the first edition of the FE version, the decal numbers were all wrong, leftover I'm sure from the S version. Not sure if they corrected that in later versions. Very frustrating. I still remember Step 27 and how useless the instructions were. Agree, some motorbike experience is very handy; I used a shop manual to figure some of it out.

    • @sp00ky1969
      @sp00ky1969 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@splashbakermodelbuilding I think you could be right - that makes sense. You are right about the suspension not being electronic and if you look at pictures of the Pocher FE model on their website, and their video showing it, there’s no electronic suspension on the FE that they built… It’s a nice kit but not 100% and it probably should be for the money. I’ve also got a couple of other small parts left over and I’ve checked the manual and they are nowhere to be seen. Then again, 80% of the work done on the model ends up nowhere to be seen… 😂

    Finally finished yesterday as well. Model in the end is very nice, but the instructions are very bad, specially wiring I wouldn’t be able to install without your videos. Also some screws were longer than intended and had to shorten it. Even I am not rookie in scale models, I am quite happy to have it done, ufff :) so next I can start with red 1199 Panigale S in 1/12… thank you

    • @splashbakermodelbuilding
      @splashbakermodelbuilding  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the wiring and decal instructions left much to be desired! Thanks for your comments & watching! I just started the 1199 S as well, it's the Tamiya kit so the instructions should be solid. 🏍️

      Hi: Yes, I agree, there were a few things that didn't meet the price of the kit. Glad you got more line, others told me they didn't have enough either. Of course, some line was wasted for the ES which wasn't a feature on the FE. It is a nice model though and was fun to build except for the handlebars. LOL!

    G'day. Great videos, really enjoyed watching them (not that I've watched them all yet to be honest). I'm looking to start this build myself shortly. I was wondering if you have a list of colours you used to airbrush the exhaust etc? Best glue? And I assume that is a light oil you used on some of the screws? Sorry for the questions, but I'm a relative novice and I haven't tackled a build like this before. Watching the videos of this build that I have so far, have got me pretty keen though, I have to say. Bit nervous, but I'll take my time and use your videos as a reference after I've watched them all. Cheers.

    • @splashbakermodelbuilding
      @splashbakermodelbuilding  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi and thanks for writing. This was my first Pocher kit and my first motorcycle kit and I, too, was a bit nervous and yes, some mistakes were made. Yes, I dipped the screws in oil when screwing into metal, basically self-tapping the screws rather than using a tap. Overall it worked well, but I did have one screw break off. I will probably tap the metal parts on future builds. For the exhaust, I used Tamiya clear blue and clear yellow. Wish now I had used clear blue and clear red instead. Violet would have been more appropriate than green for hot metal. I also would have painted the exhaust with different metallics part such as Alclad. For glue, I primarily used Loctite liquid super glue and Loctite gel super glue. I did use some Tamiya extra thin cement although I have read styrene glue isn't recommended on Pocher plastic. I had no troubles personally. My biggest learning? I wish now I had repainted some of the parts rather than trying to preserve the factory color. I didn't clean the parts as well as I should have because I was trying not to sand off the color. I just wasn't sure how paint over factory plating would work, but I could have experimented on excess sprue. But, of course, the important bit was I had fun and hope you enjoy your build as well!! Keep me posted.

    What did you do with the two leads that go to the two caps on the rear shock reservoir

    • @splashbakermodelbuilding
      @splashbakermodelbuilding  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi: Do you mean the two leads for the rear electronic suspension? The FE version didn't have electronic suspension so they shouldn't have been included so I removed them. I did, however, use the ES connections for the top caps for appearances since those were the top caps provided.

      @@splashbakermodelbuilding Thank you for your answer, I appreciate it :-) what things would you do differently? What should I pay particular attention to? I'm especially scared of the handelbars. I have seen that they are not correct in the pocher manual and can therefore be mounted incorrectly.

      @@FrederikVanDamme-io9mm Hi Frederik! About the Ducati; I was very disappointed in how many mistakes there were in the manual. Almost all the decals are labeled wrong so watch out for that (unless Pocher corrected in later editions). The wire/plumbing instructions are just terrible, either missing or vague. If I could do the kit over again; I would paint the parts. I didn't do it since they were pre-colored, but I was hesitant to properly clean the parts of mold lines, pin marks and sink holes to protect the color, but I should have cleaned properly and just repainted. Some of the mold lines are pretty obvious and a bit embarrassing. I messed up the color on the pipes, should have used blue and red, not blue and yellow and my heat stress marks aren't in the right places. The handlebars are very difficult and I may have mounted mine incorrectly. Also, the FE version didn't have ES, but I added it anyway so the fork caps wouldn't look funny since they have the plugs. It also included the ES wires under the seat that ultimately led to nowhere. I pulled them out. I could never tighten down the swing arm assembly so mine is very loose and can't properly support the bike. Others also reported this same problem. I didn't pre-tap the metal parts and just used a little oil to ease the process, but I did have one screw break. Later, when I built the Aventador, I did pre-tap the holes and it made assembly so much easier! I'm still on the fence about the Lotus; it keeps getting delayed and I want to see what others think about it before buying it. Thanks for watching and sharing your comments! Happy Modeling! 🙂
