I have a little under 1,700 movies on Blu-ray, and a few hundred DVDs, mostly TV shows. I used to buy Blu-rays if they were cheap, and might never watch them, whether I had seen them or not. Now, I'm all about quality over quantity. Every few years, I go through my Blu-ray's and pick out films I've only seen once, or haven't seen in at least 5 years. If I rewatch something, and would never watch it a 3rd time, I'll donate/sell it. My biggest criteria for keeping films in my collection is: Would I watch this again? Would I watch this with friends/family? I agree with you, Assassin's Creed was bad. I almost fell asleep watching it. There are some fantastic recent video game movies like Jumanji and Dungeons and Dragons: Honor Among Thieves. The DVD cover of Lady in the Water with that really pretty blue is better than the movie itself! LOL
That’s awesome! Glad to hear you have similar values as me. I was the same way, just bought movies to have movies, and eventually I became overwhelmed and honestly disinterested in some aspects of my collection. It started to feel like more of a hoarding problem than a hobby. Quality over quality is the way to go… at least for me lol
Hey young man, well back! I totally agree with you when it comes to Walmart, I really don't go blu ray hunting anymore I wish I could thou.i too have been busy with life and what not but it's getting pretty grim out there. Don't give up man. Oh yeah , I have bought a lot of wrestling dvds during the summer from biglots and it was fun and the spiral movie in 4k and bluray other than that I have not found anything new to upgrade.😢
@@Alex-pm6je I believe that’s the gases released from certain plastic cases. It creates a Smokey fog like coating that cannot be easily wiped off. So that’s not disc rot

What if your dvds look if it has smoke on the actual disc? That's disc rot right??

@@iicw4308 Best Buy stopped selling movies
Sorry to bother you again, but have you moved in to a house the back drop looks different? Just asking?😁
@@Alex-pm6je Same house, can’t afford to move even if I wanted to with the price of everything lol 😆
Wow
I'm purging movies like the old dark house collection with bad picture quality from my movie collection.
Yes for me life sucked
