Imo, wasn't entirely necessary due to Divine type having a special colored animation during their attacks anyway... but I guess it's their way of fixing things after taking so long to add the summon animations anyways
Think the field is more themed for Slifer which don’t get me wrong is my favorite God but wish the field was more generic so I could use it for all three gods 😔

I'm assuming OP means protag monsters other than the DM ones, like giving Flame Wingman, Stardust, Utopia, Odd-Eyes and Firewall/Decode attack animations.
Alt Art Slifer with Lightning striking behind him just screams God to me more than any other of the summoning animations. Thunder Force and Fist of Fate/God Hand Crusher were both powerful as hell. But Blaze Cannon felt kind of weak honestly.
I mean this was just straight up long overdue. I don't intend to ever play them but they shoulda had these animations at launch. Bare minimum next month no later. These cards are just as iconic as dark magician and blue eyes

Ra: Pose for the camera. Obelisk: A shrug. Slifer: Sky stance. Yeah, the old arts REALLY showed their age. At least the alt art gave them epic summons fitting for the trio.
Not only they finally have alt art, animation, and attack animation their summon animation also have special effect that i don't remember others animation have.
You can see some effects in summoning animations based on what attribute the monster has But these are the only Divine attribute cards, so they get that special rizz

The Winged Dragon of Ra - Immortal Phoenix had a summoning animation, and up until now, it was the only time you'd see the fancy *shine* effect from being divine. ...but no one actually uses Immortal Phoenix so its probably not a well known fact.

Now all they need is an errata or ruling change to make them actually viable. I'd personally do this: > Rule change - DIVINE Divine-Beast monsters gain the following effects. "Unaffected by other monsters' effects, and cannot be targeted or destroyed by card effects, except those of Divine-Beast monsters. This card's effects, and their activations, cannot be negated."
The only thing I had hope with the finisher animations was that they left scorches of flames or craters after to really show the impact of a Egyptian God, but oh well we finally got some justice for them.
a really cool detail i missed viewing when i saw these on my phone. each of the god cards when dealing the final blow, will glow the color they were in the original anime, so Ra is yellow, Slifer (Osiris) red, and Obelisk blue. Finally some justice for card lore.

Slifer's animations looks stunning. Obelisk's Fist of Fury is the coolest finishing move they've done, my jaw dropped when I saw it.
Giving cards final attack animations make the cards feel even more special. I could really see them giving final attack animations to protag cards.
