@@bikesmusic5380 if they take everything off like in your video then WD40 through the gap in fairing then I used screw driver gently to ease it off..cleaned it and bit of lubricant .and pops off like in your video now
Corroded solenoid/starter it’s at the bottom of the belly pan right behind the front wheel… so it gets all the spray… for some reason they added the starter fuse in there… bike was refusing to start and doing some strange night rider style possessed electric lighting… quite common apparently
Is the size 4 in the tool kit ? I just bought a 2017 939 with 2159 km and it looks like new, the battery was replaced by the last owner a year ago. I road the bike one time around 10 days ago and the bike started like the battery was new. I go out to the bike tadayr to ride it. and the battery is dead. I don't get why. I noticed the first day that when the key was in a certain position that the brake light was on. I think it was the brake like. and I am wondering if I could've parked it like that with the key in the wrong position which drained the battery. can anyone explain ? and what a pain in the ass that I have to take a fairing off just to access the battery. never had a bike like that before, but I also never owned a Ducati before, but I feel like I'm not getting off to a good start with this bike. literally, I'm bummed. ( your camera work is horrible in this video ) I get dizzy watching it.
Just I recently bought a pearly white SSS with the same left hand gap between the grip and bar end bobin, it's a 2017. Didn't think there would be many with the same quirk, Maybe just a massive coincidence.
thanks, just about to start this job, cheers.
Thank you for posting this!
You need to explain about the locating pin in lower middle..as very difficult to get off and most won't want to take off for fear of damaging fairing
Didn’t have that problem myself but no doubt your comment will help others. No longer have this bike anymore

@@bikesmusic5380 just put new battery on and she's starting again but not sounding quite right ticking over, was that how yours was
Mine didn’t start at all once it died… needed a whole new starter relay… it did give a great light show like the devil has possessed it!

Same for other side?
Yes from memory, I sold mine a few months ago and got a V4S
@@bikesmusic5380 By chance who did you sell it too? I think I may have it!
