Thank you so much! Should be great for kids especially with the moving heads. I know my kids would have played with them. You might also be interested in my penguin video. I’ll find the link. These sold immediately! - Woodturning Penguins th-cam.com/video/cInowmhGrVE/w-d-xo.html
These turned birds actually look good compared to others I’ve seen. I think it’s due to the use of small branches that have both heartwood and sap wood integration.
Yes I think wood selection is key. Never know what to expect but I definitely like to have a little bark, heartwood, or small knots to add some character. Thanks for watching and I really appreciate the comment!
Thank you! I glued the dowel into the head but the dowel going into the body is not glued. The video of the heads moving is “stop motion”. They don’t move on their own. Thanks for watching and the comment.
Hey, first time viewer, you caught me... I loved whittling years back before hand surgeries. I have a mini-lathe and the algorithm seems to know =]8¬_D
Thanks very much. Great video. You mentioned that you had a video on how to build that sanding disc that you showed. I couldn’t find it. Could you give us a link? Thanks much merry Christmas.
Thanks for watching and the comment! Here is the link for making the sander. The disc sander starts at about 3:30 mark. I’ll add the link in this video for other viewers to find. Thanks for the suggestion! th-cam.com/video/6CefxI4kRUg/w-d-xo.htmlsi=mpLYAOlLWNZ36JUv

Hey, first time viewer, you caught me...
I loved whittling years back before hand surgeries.
I have a mini-lathe and the algorithm seems to know =]8¬_D
Thanks for watching and commenting! I just don’t have the carving or whittling talent. The lathe seems to fit my artistic ability more

Why no legs
Would make it more complicated. Feel free to add legs to your design. Thanks for watching and commenting!
How much knuckle sking have you lost on that sanding disk ?
Plus use a vise for drilling...I guess you never drilled or screwed yourself
So far none but it’s probably going to happen eventually
I probably should. Thanks for watching!
