Well I put it on at the same time we did the heads and cam which we swapped pulleys with as well. So I can definitely hear the blower now. I’m not sure how much it increases the blower noise without swapping pulleys. I went from stock lid and stock pulleys to NX lid, upper and lower pulley haha
A two step launch controller has two main parameters: rev limit and spark retard. Basically you want to set your rev limit (in my case 4500 rpm) and you want to set the spark retard to pull as much timing as possible. The more timing you have it pull, the more pops and flames

I would be doing it basically for the same purpose as you aka just for sh*ts n giggles, but I liked how you mentioned that I could put it to good use for pulls from like a 40 roll and what not. Scheduling my engine/tranny tune mid december and we're literally using your burble tube video as the guide lol no insult to my boy who is tuning the car, but I was just like "look, Rob, has this science down so just refer to the vid if you can't figure something out when it comes to the loud grumpy pops/burbles I want" lolol I told them tune the car for daily street pull fun and what not, but to make sure the car sounds insane like -15 to -20 timing like you stated...explosion type sound when cruising through towncenters lol. The lights look great on your setup, my dude! Working on getting a new hood for the car and then the tune along w that purchase so I'll give you a shoutout in the video once I post it. Thanks man! It will definitely work on your A8. It's totally independent of the transmission. It is just cutting ignition and/or retarding ignition timing at the specified limit. You basically just need to trick the torque management into pulling more timing by telling it that it is making more power on decel than it actually is. The car only uses narrow band sensors while it is in closed loop mode. Once you reach a certain RPM or throttle input, you'll move into open loop and power enrichment. When that happens, you won't get any STFT or LTFT readings. Goat figured out how to set it up to use narrow bands in conjunction with widebands and scale the readings for MAF and VE so you can tune it all at the same time. This box makes you just pick an RPM to limit at. So, it's not the same as a momentary anti-lag that works at any RPM. You can just set whatever RPM you want on the box, and itll limit to that RPM. Best way to do it is just pick a speed and gear you like to launch from, see what RPM you're at. Let's say you launch at 50 mph and the gear you like to launch from puts you around 3600 RPM, just set your limit to 3500 or 3600. Then you can just get into that gear, hold the button, floor it (it'll limit to that 3500 or 3600 whatever you set), and then just release the button when you're ready.
I'm still trying to figure out what I'm not doing correctly.. I have a 13 ZL1 w/6m and a toggle (no hold) activation switch. Activation is at 2000rpm, can't figure this out
@@RobsHouse is yours a manual? To engage or activate the system on a manual you have to depress the clutch which is a little different than autos. Also, do you have to level out at 4500 rpm as in maintaining that RPM with the throttle or can you hammer the throttle intermittently and rev it to get the same result? Trying to rule out the outliers to get the same result you have. Thanks man!
@@HEATH3NRacing it is a manual yes. I have it on a momentary switch so I have to hold the button down. To get it to shoot fire I have to hammer it and chill on the limiter for at least a split second. It shoots flames pretty much immediately tho.

I went to check the setting, but apparently something is now up with my hood release because I can't pop the hood lol. I'll let you know after I get it open.
Okay I got it. Turns out my hood release lever broke lol. I have the rate set at 0. If I remember correctly, lower rate is faster. Higher rate means it'll pull the timing out slower, so you'd have to sit on the two step longer to see flames.

All you have to use is on single wire? Or does there have to be both a power and ground and just has to be open and closed with a switch
Single activation wire. The unit itself gets powered off the Coil Pack wires. It plugs in-line into every ignition coil.

Right now it’s set up as a two-step and activated by the clutch dump. How would I change it so that it’s activated by a button for anti lag?

Its possible to do both lol. There is a ton of heat build up when you bang the limiter like that, so you don't want to sit on it for too long.
