Dal Recipe:
To cook Dal
Masoor Dal - 1/4 cup
Water - 3/4 cup
Asafetida - 1/4 tsp
Turmeric - 1/2 tsp
Oil - 2tbsp
Mustard Seeds - 1/2 tsp
Urad Dal - 1/2 tsp
Fenugreek Seeds - 1/4 tsp
Cumin Seeds - 3/4 tsp
Dry Red Chili - 1
Asafetida - 1/4 tsp
Chopped Garlic - 1 tbsp
Chopped Onion - 1 medium
Chopped Tomatoes - 2 medium ( skin peeled)
Chili Powder - 1tsp
Salt
Slit Green Chilies - 3-4
Lemon Juice - 1/2 tbsp
Water to adjust the consistency
Chopped coriander leaves for garnish
* Cook the dal in a pressure cooker for 4-5 whistles.
For Chicken Fry:
Chicken - 1kg
For Masala
Coriander seeds - 2 tbsp
Black Peppercorn - 2 tsp
Fennel Seeds - tsp
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Kashmiri Chili - 5-6
Ginger & Garlic Paste - 4 tsp
Gram Masala - 1tsp
Turmeric Powder - 1 tsp
Chili Powder - 2 tsp
Oil - 1 tbsp
Butter - 1tbsp
A few strands of curry leaves
Tomatoes - 2
Green Chilies - 4-5
Chopped coriander & curry leaves for garnish
