    I just found your hoola hoop videos. They are fabulous! I must buy a hoola hoop and make some of these great rugs. They are adorable. I know some shelter animals who would love them.

      Hi Patty, I'm so glad you like my video. Since I love animals, it makes me happy that you will be making rugs for the shelter animals. That's a great idea. Happy crafting!!!

    Brilliant! The fabric you chose makes it look so polished instead of choppy like some of the others I have seen. Beautifully done!

    What a great video!!! I had no idea you could make a rug with such simple supplies that most anyone has laying around (or can find at the dollar store, ie. hula hoops). I was laughing when I heard you say you hope you get "at least one LIKE". Well, you have over 1600 likes!! Good stuff! Thank you!

    Lillian, these are really cute. You did a great tutorial. I feel as if I could make this project successfully after watching your video. A crafter could sew two together and stuff to make a pillow. If you stopped a littler sooner (for a smaller cirlce), these would also be colorful seat cushions.

    Awesome, I can't wait to try this. Thank you! DUI you just wash and hang dry like a regular shirt?🤗

    • @lillianulman90
      @lillianulman90 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Hi Lona, I'm happy that you're excited to do this hula hoop rug. I wouldn't wash it like a shirt because it's too heavy to hang up and it might come apart. What I would do is wash it flat in the bathtub, than press down with my palms to get excess water out and let it dry flat outside on a table or screen

    That was so awesome to see your whole process...I watched this lady do a rug on a large clamp like thing that they usually use for needlework and it was just way too small ...at that point I thought, why not use a hula hoop for a bigger rug and I loved that this came up on my feed somehow and your rugs are really beautiful. Thank you for this! 🌟

    Well done, I like your easy-to-understand instructions. I just bought a hula hoop at the Dollar Store.
    I've been making tee shirt yarn over the past week,and have balls and balls wound...for another project!
    Now I have to cut some more tee shirts, to get the single 'loops' you're using. I love your pretty finished rugs; thank you for sharing your knowledge :-)

    I loved this!! Very nice. When you were finishing your last round, you tucked the last one in. Did you tie it some place before you cut all the ends and tied them?

    • @lillianulman90
      @lillianulman90 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks for watching my video. I just tucked in the last one because I tied all the other ends up so I thought that would be enough to keep it from unraveling. But to play it safe, take a hot glue gun and dab a dot on the end piece while you tuck it inside. If you don't own a glue gun, just put a stitch in. Be safe

      Thanks for watching my video. Since I use multiple colors, I probably used a third of each tee shirt. If you want to make a solid color rug, I would say to use two men's large to extra large shirts. Be safe

      Hi Patricia, you can start off with a small hula hoop and make a small rug. Since tie dye is popular again you can use tie dye t-shirts. It will look pretty in her room.

    • @lillianulman90
      @lillianulman90 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Amara, I'm sorry it took so long to get back to you. I should check my comments more often. I'm touched that your son likes the hula hoop rug so much. But obviously your colors and design had a lot to do with it too. If you really feel adventurous and have extra time on your hands, you could go to Home Depot and buy a thin rubber hose and tie both ends with duct tape to form a circle and make a really big area rug for your son to sit on because a hula hoop isn't that big. Take care and keep safe
