As a teen, i only had like $20 in my bank account so i just bought the 1st listing in field tested that was on there for $4 and it ended up having Kato 2014 papers on it as well as a .15 float, had no idea because you couldn't even check float back then without an extension. I've had it equipped ever since and will probably always keep it just because it means more to me than whatever value the stickers add (each sticker is like $1k rn), but literally as a kid when i bought it, i just inspected the first few looking for the one with the fewest scratches, didn't even know or care about stickers back then and thought about scraping them all off on multiple occasions lol... Luckily i didn't.

I've known next to nothing about skins, I have skins on all my weapons but they're all inexpensive and were ones that I just liked the look of. eg. bioleak on mp9, fleet flock on aug, elite build on AK and P90, worm god on AWP (that was a case drop and I love it), crimson web on deagle, heat on mac10, evil daimyo on m4a4, basilisk on m4a1, rocket pop on galil, agent on MP5-SD, wingshot on p250, retrobution on 5-7, grand prix on UMP45. Some of those went up a bit, the basilisk is worth like $40AUD now but I got it for around $10 I think. Rocket pop is now worth $30AUD, crimson web is now worth $25AUD. Beyond that I stopped opening cases on principal because I strongly oppose the gambling element to skins, particularly because its exposing a lot of children to gambling and also because there is a black market outside of the game as well as scams and other illegal shit going on. After seeing some of the interesting skins this video I'm considering opening some of the old cases which I've been holding onto but ignoring. I've got chroma cases, gamma, operation wildfire, clutch, glove, spectrum, prisma, danger zone, fracture, recoil and revolution cases. Some of those are really old. I'm reluctant to put any money into them though because of the absolute garbage I usually got from previous openings.

But I kind of wish I held onto the skin because, that Eye of Horus m4 is so pretty. It is absolutely one of the best parts of my day when people get super triggered at me for having a knife while bottom fragging. Came to CS from Valorant too.

It worked out, but YEARS later, I've never pulled a knife from a case. I got a fac new hyper beast and point disarray. That's the best I've got after they changed my griffin skin.

Back then prices generally were highest as soon as a case came out and I sold it on the steam market that night... for £29 and sadly still have the screenshot on my account where I bragged about this dumb af decision.
