I loved seeing dude make such a critical play and equally good was how many blockers he had right up with him during the return....... they were gonna make damn sure he got in! Congrats, OSU! The fumble recovery and run for the touchdown was amazing, but so was Sonny Styles, Number 6, out-running and passing Texas college football player #26 while starting 2yards behind him to block him from tackling Jack Sawyer.
Legendary play. For me, #6 and #7 on tOSU hauling butt to block Texas's guys and catch all the way up to Swayer added an extra layer of greatness to this play. Total team effort to make sure he scored.
What I love about this view is that it shows #7, Jordan Hancock, at the 1 yard line when the ball is knocked loose and then you capture this speedster who ends up escorting Jack into the end zone!!
Ransom defeating a pulling guard on 2nd down was the key to all this. He sheds the guard and makes the tackle…. Kid is often overlooked bc of downs but my goodness he makes plays.
There were Texas fans at Twin Peaks (where I ate dinner) who objected to the unsportsmanlike call against the Longhorns and I was like, "Nope. He pointed at the guy he stiff-armed on the ground. That's taunting and an easy flag."
This ranks up there with Maurice Clarett famously janking the ball from Glenn Sharpe during the 2002 BCS National Championship Game between Ohio State and Miami. GO BUCKS!

Look at the little kid, a Texas fan, standing to our right of who I assume is his father at 2:18. There is somebody in a white top standing to the kid's left, our right. This is on the upper right hand side of the screen. Kid is hopping up and down in what looks like an "I hate this/how did this happen?" fashion while looking at his father. Love it! A little difficult to tell colors due to the distance but the dad appears to be in burnt orange but what is not in doubt is that he is most assuredly not enthused about current events.

The play calling in the entire sequence by Texas was awful. The second down pitch for the 6 yard loss, then the third down pressured incompletion, the obvious pass situation turned into a strip sack returned for a TD.

I guess you can thank the referees for all the yellow on the ground that continued to give the Longhorns the opportunity to Fumble the ball NBA scores upon.. but you can also give the Buckeyes defense who were resilient for this play to have happened. Better question. Why did they snap the ball 10 yards back for shotgun on the half yard line and then pitch the ball another 2 yards back from that? Answer: because these guys wanna fuckin lose! You have Arch Manning to sneak the ball from the fuckin half yard line and you're snapping it 10 yards back and pitching the ball! lmao
There's no guarantee they would get the ball back. Texas defense was tired. Also with the score the way it was there's no tie scenario. They kick fg they still would need a TD to win if Texas defense stops Ohio State or get a onside kick

Ball was tipped at line, good no-call.... Also, the player who tipped the pass was blatantly being held on his way to the QB. The only penalty that should've been called on that play was holding on #54 of the offense.
