When her Chair of Market Equities was call back to Corporate, she told Sara to do whatever it takes to destroy "this family" . Jamie's target was Beth however Sara had a different order and that was to destroy the family. Killing Beth would not have done that it would have just fueled John fight. I was thinking that too. Maybe John Dutton thwarted the assassins plan and that’s someone else dead on the floor? I did see a picture where Costner showed up one day while filming was go8ng on. Perfect ending to the show would be John sitting on his front porch drinking a whiskey while the camera pans out 😎
Last night on Entertainment tonight, Kevin Costner stated, "His death (John Dutton) could be a "Red Herring", who knows". Is John Dutton really dead or were we made to believe he was dead? You're right we never saw his face. His comment was definitely a clue. Could this have been an undercover sting operation of "Murder for Hire". In order to draw out John Dutton's enemies, you would have to think he was dead. Since I like to write. I would have Jamie be sworn in as Governor. As the Inauguration is in progress, low in behold, Mr. John Dutton walks in from the dead with the Feds to arrest Jamie. Can you imagine the look on his face. Also, this summer Kevin Cosner was asked if he'd return. He said never say never. Kevin Costner is the biggest character on the show. Something tells me there will be a major twist. If he would have told anyone, it would be Jamie. That's just my opinion.
If I didn't know any better, I'd think they were kind of trying to just, in general, weed out the Duttons as a whole. Remember, they do have a great deal of power. John? Had to go. Beth? She's a pitbull, why not turn her on Jamie and then just stand back and watch the carnage? Cause it doesn't matter what happened anymore, Beth is going after Jamie for this. She hates him too much to consider any other possibility other than this was his doing. Either way oof, what a damn episode.
Exactly... What I've been saying, that Jamie and sarha was talking about taking out beth.so it being john, that was all sarah (and company).the thing that I don't get,is no security at the governors mansion, day and night.when they traveled to speeches, ribbon cuttings,or from the ranch to the capital....there was 3,4 or 5 police vehicle escorts? I know where I'm at,I wouldn't get no where near the governor, at 3:53 am,without running into security/law enforcement.
So I have a question for everybody...will Jamie die at the hands of Kayce as a result of Sarah's mission ...or do you think Jamie will die at the hands of Rip for causing Beth pain from abortion..or will Jamie die at hands of Beth for obvious reasons..i say Rip because after all Rip does stand for Rest In Peace...what you guys think?
S5 E8.. Beth Walks into Room with Senator-Johns personal aide.. Beth walks into room asks WHERES THE TRAIN STATION.. JAMIE gotta go..END OF SERIES... S5 E10.. JOHN is dead.. where is S5E9..??
There is 1 specific scene that voids everything you’ve just suggested. At the end when Jamie and Sara end up in the bedroom her with champagne him in shambles… he said was this you? She said we talked about this.. he said yeah, we talked… but that was it. He acknowledged that they both were on the same page for most of that conversation, he just suggests he didn’t think she would go through with it or somethin like that. John Dutton might still be alive( I doubt it) but Jamie has NOT been exonerated.
Sure. But my (perhaps cynical) suggestion is the writers tried to fool us into thinking Sarah and Jamie were talking about John all along. If this is true they’d have Jamie respond as he did to keep up the ruse. All of this was written after Costner split. There is no question the convo from E8 was about Beth. It’s very possible there is another twist coming that explains this and proves me wrong. I hope this is the case.
John's body looked like it was in a different home, maybe the governor's mansion, Beth said "this is my father's house" to the cops. Maybe it's a flash forward where they lost the ranch. She said Jamie took everything from him 🤷♂️
It WAS the gov mansion. It shows Beth pulling up, johns aide standing outside. It's shows the front of the mansion Several times before showing Kaycee and Beth walking through the door
See I’m actually a real fan of the show so I have not one single negative thing to say about it. I trust the show and where it’s going. It was phenomenal and I can’t wait for the next episode. I can’t believe l the negative pricks speaking out about it. You guys are really some sad snowflake losers if you can complain about this shows return even a little bit
Beth is the Most annoying women in television. Has almost made the show unwatchable, also Sarah dont care about Beth. Her goal was to get Johns land either way, she dont care about Jamie either so it makes more sense for her to kill john to get what they want. Killing Beth wouldn't have helped her or her group out at all though would have made the show better for me ...
What bothers me is that, regardless of if Jamie did or didn’t intend for John to die, Beth played a role in escalating things to this point. She has suggested killing him multiple times, going as far to try to convince John to off him, she promised she would take his kid from him and then there’s the mountain of blackmail she’s used against him. Nobody is making light of the fact that Jamie, intentionally or not, did call the hit but it was only after she Barged in his home, attacked him, and yet again threatened him even more. Had Beth just left Jamie alone and quit allowing her vendetta against Jamie to escalate in every interaction, maybe Jamie wouldn’t have played into Sarah’s plan. She also has the nerve to say Jamie “destroyed” what John built even though she’s never actually cared that much about the ranch; whereas Jamie absolutely wants to preserve it. It bothers me that it will likely never be pointed out that, although beth is completely in her right to hate Jamie over the hysterectomy, she took it to far the moment she started threatening his life and promising to take his kid from him. Can no one see how that could affect his mental state to the point the moment he felt backed into a corner he would go in the offensive; especially when Beth has made it clear Jamie will never be a Dutton.
Sheridan could’ve went against his egotistical ways, and made sure the show went out the same way it began, with Costner. Although I’m still holding out, hope that maybe just maybe this will be like the “Who Shot JR” episode of Dallas, and Daddy Dutton will be there at the very end. I don’t think that’s the way it’s gonna happen, but it would’ve been a good way for the series to end.
You're just an idiot. Costner not being in 5B is all on Costner. Between trying to shield his income in his 8,433rd divorce and claiming his shitty movies were too important to him, forced Sheridan's hand. Dallas, what an effin moronic joke. Thank God you're not the writer.
Last night on Entertainment Tonight, Kevin Costner stated "His death could be a "Red Herring" who knows". Is John Dutton really dead or were we made to believe he was dead? Could this have been a undercover sting operation of murder for hire? His comment was a clue. To draw out John Dutton's enemies they would have to think he was dead. What would be awesome is Jamie becomes Governor? During the Inauguration Ceremony John Dutton walks in with the Feds to arrest him. The look on Jamie's face would be priceless.
The script writing has been awful this episode so far. The first episode was so boring and pointless. Not to mention they kill John D off screen?! I’m already guessing that the rest of the season will be the worst of the 2 paths that Kaycee saw that leads to their down fall. However right when things can’t get worse, he’ll either wake up or snap out of a vision or something and the right path will play out where everything ends up fine and they keep the ranch with John still alive. This show has suffered bad without KC. Yikes.
I have been listening to various feedback from different platforms after the return of Yellowstone on 11/10/24. EVERYONE knows including all the Cattle (in Texas right now), Horses, Wolves, Lions, Tigers and Bears oohh my! that there is NO WAY John Dutton would commit suicide (he is the last person on that show that would do so). So where are all the Law Enforcement in that State and the Family itself not demanding an investigation and/or autopsy. How are they going to handle the Funeral? Yes, you still have to bury the body or whatever they are going to do! At the end of the series DO NOT anticipate anything that is going to blow anyone out of the water! WHY do I say this? It just seems to me that numerous ground breaking series that I have watched throughout the years end with a THUD! I haven't seen all of them however some of my favorites include Miami Vice, The Sopranos and The Blacklist! These are just a few but you get the point! It's as if they have GREAT writing and then get LAZY and just decide to mail it in and everyone is disappointed at the end after investing all those years living and dying with the show! This is a great disservice to the fans of all these shows and really shows that NONE of the powers that be really care about the FANS! So, be prepared to be DISAPPOINTED at the end of this series! I WOULD BET THE HOUSE!
First off, there's no funeral because that episode was only about 2 days in real time. Most of it was a flashback. Secondly, if you've seen the previews for the season you should know that there is an autopsy and investigation. There is a lot left to be uncovered, between the 6 weeks prior to the death, and the end of the series.
Beth's right about Jamie. He is weak and only thinks of himself. Learning he was adopted just gave him yet another reason to point at someone else. He is easily manipulated to oppose the family by everyone around him. He screws them over and over again only to run back home. He's like an addict who fails intervention after intervention: just write him off as a lost cause.
There was that awkward hug that John gave Kayce at the end of 5(8), where John said I love you son and Kayce looked uncomfortable, like his Dad hadn’t done that before. Maybe John really did commit suicide?
Anyone else believe it could have been Beth that killed her father? And is now trying to pin it on Jaime and will influence Kacy into killing him. Beth has always been hell bent of saving the ranch and maybe John wanted to potentially cut ties with it. The comment made by Sarah, “Lions don’t die of old age, lions die in the jaws of younger lions”. I don’t think she is referring to Jaime but potentially Beth. Also she is very willing to make Kacy call about the footage. She could have potentially known it was gone and is trying to cut any potential ties of it being her. Rip being gone is also strange to me as no one would have been around to keep her sane.

Wouldn't it be amazing if since they didn't see his face and this turns out to be the biggest PR stunt in history?
I was thinking that too. Maybe John Dutton thwarted the assassins plan and that’s someone else dead on the floor? I did see a picture where Costner showed up one day while filming was go8ng on. Perfect ending to the show would be John sitting on his front porch drinking a whiskey while the camera pans out 😎
@@bekistewart675 I’m from the Dallas/Bobby in the shower/it was a dream generation, so I never rule anything out!!😆
Last night on Entertainment tonight, Kevin Costner stated, "His death (John Dutton) could be a "Red Herring", who knows".
@@paulamantia6273did you really see that picture?
I would've preferred John going out like a badass and not by suicide/assassination. I think they dishonoured the character and the show.
That was episode 9. Epsiode 10 is next week.
@codyfrancis22
Then..why do all the TV channels carrying Yellowstone -list it as ..S5 E10..?
@@burkena mine didn’t. Either way, that was episode 9, episode 10 is coming up in a few days.
@ do you think that's significant? Or was that already stated last episodes?
Wes Bentley said in a interview somewhere, Jamie backstabs Atwell multiple times
John Dutton is no way suicidal…..
You are no more "real" of a fan than anyone else who follows this series. You just have lower standards
well i think they plan on going after beth next she just decided to go after john first apparently

What would be awesome is Jamie becomes Governor? During the Inauguration Ceremony John Dutton walks in with the Feds to arrest him. The look on Jamie's face would be priceless.
To much ranching to me
The script writing has been awful this episode so far.
I want Jamie to come out of this intact. John was a TERRIBLE father to Jamie, i want there to be a switch.
Jaime is a sociopath.
@@vel230True but John isn’t much better..like it or not John was a gangster
Unfortunately this episode is my last one , with Kevin not in them it's just not the same , I'm out !
Want to cowboy do it on the Yellowstone !!! This 6666 thing is crap ! RIP Mr. Klapper . Crybaby native americans , puulease
There was that awkward hug that John gave Kayce at the end of 5(8), where John said I love you son and Kayce looked uncomfortable, like his Dad hadn’t done that before. Maybe John really did commit suicide?
Maybe his cancer came back with a vengeance.
It was almost like they knew Costner was leaving and they gave him that as a goodbye
@@Ghost-of-a-man Kayce says, "you'd think he was the one leaving," to which Rip replies, "he is."
@ exactly
@Callen NO.
Absolutely not
Did you notice at the end when credits rolled the name of an executive producer was Kevin Costner?????
@@debsmith1956I believe Kevin Costner has been involved in producing from the start. Just saying
I respectfully disagree because Beth and Rip were 1000% loyal to John Dutton and would have died for him.
