    I’ve been playing since 2008. I have see countless videos since then on form and technique. This video helped me more than any other. Thank you Will for putting the time and effort to make a fantastic video with awesome descriptions. Still extremely relevant to the new generation of disc golfers that crave these videos so much.

    this is the video that started it all for me, so excited to see Will on Jomez practice round this week I still share this video on discord whenever I'm teaching form this is short and concise with all the dos-and-donts, its amazing how much of this video still exists in my form right now 8 years later

      Dude a second grader can throw just like that!! I mean it's so easy a caveman can do it! All you have to do is get the aerodynamic lift or your Bernoulli principle whichever one you want to call it and your gyroscopic inertia from your wrist into the disc, & bam you've got basically a free flying wing that uses the Bernoulli principle causing it to lift and the angular momentum of the disc giving it stability to maintain flight!! I'd hate to see how you folks do if you ever saw a boomerang!! That is so basic frisbee golf a caveman can do it and it's actually really pathetic that a man could show his face playing such a pansy ass woman game!! Real men can lift more than a plastic frisbee!! I bet you men throwing those frisbees on that course wear panties too don't you listen!! And you probably all drink your mother and father's used enema water😂😂

    so after having a ton of backhand issues after taking a year off for injury, i checked this video out and took all the tips, but none of it really helped, until i watched his feet. Once I took a much larger cross step it was like the rest of the throw was automatic. Back up to my 400+ ft drives with barely any effort. love watching pros throw, can learn SO much! Thanks Schusterick!

    I've only been playing for a year but built my form from watching youtube videos. I know my reach back is passable and my footwork is decent too, but still wasn't getting the power I thought I could. The weight shift part at 3:35 is exactly what I've been been doing wrong - can't wait to go practice this, thanks Will!

    I was confused when I was thinking that you do your full reach back before the weight shift... after watching this video, I see that you actually start the weight shift first and then complete the reach back. Also, what really helped me was the part about using the back part of the arm and grabbing onto something to feel which muscles are being used... I actually almost tagged a car in the parking lot cuz I threw the disc about 50 feet further than my previous longest drive when I finally connected good. (Thank you fence post!)

    Just the way instructional videos should be! Short, broken down into sections and TO THE POINT! Excellent job, Will! As a 59 year-old noob I am struggling with distance (250' drive too high in the air, so huge arcs (RHBH)) and consistency. Now I know my grip is all wrong, as is my throwing style. Time to practice your techniques! Thanks!!!

  • @wildcat31772
    @wildcat31772 11 ปีที่แล้ว

    Yes it does. Feldberg talks about it a lot in his clinics. The Heel spin keeps your arm on the line because it's a pivot instead of a spin. The hip transfer that he talks about in the standstill part will cause you to pivot on the heel if done right. It's a release of energy from back to front. Also it takes stress off your knee greatly.

    Leave the back leg back, don't actively rotate it around. It will naturally do that. Just brace and pull with the arm down the line. The body will rotate naturally. 3:40 Huge AHA moment
    I've been trying to turn the body actively. When you do that, it might feel smooth, but there will be no bracing and throwing down the line of play.
    I've been rounding so long, it just felt natural, but very inaccurate.
    Brace, pull, almost resist the turning.The disc is a mile down the fairway and chest turned before his back leg comes around. If you watch a video of yourself you'd be amazed that you still rotate. Don't actively force a turn.
    The disc flys much truer to its numbers for me now.

    Just one criticism: when he shows how you should "reach all the way back" he kind of crouches over backward, But When you watch him throw though his upper body does turn all the way around on the reach back but stays vertical, which is important.
