I cannot thank you enough for your video. I had already bought it and was waiting for delivery wondering if I could put it up by myself. Your detailed video showed me exactly what I needed to do. You’ve saved me a lot of heartache and worry! Many thanks out to you for the time you took to do this.
For snow, I used some 2" wide ratchet straps with "loop" ends, in between the roof poles - total of 6. It adds tremendous strength. I also used ratchet straps inside, from side to side at the "ceiling" line.
I'm working on a Shelter Logic 8 x 8 for my Honda Helix scooter so this is very interesting and timely. The dog was putting a good chase to the cat, though I guess the cat turned the tables on the dog, so fun while it lasted. Ha.
Hi, long time since I saw one of your videos. My wife, Joy, left me in June. I wanted to watch some TH-cam not to feel so sad... Thanks for naming the fudging garage Joy 😀 Talk about a coincidence.
I have the (almost) same carport, clearly made by the same Chinese manufacturer, which I also bought through Amazon. I made the mistake of putting the roof tarp on upside down and had to take it down and turn it right side up and remount it after the roof was already elevated on the poles. This was painfully hard. I should note that I don't have any help and can't lift my right arm more than a few inches from my waist, so that adds to the difficulty. Still, it would be nice if they marked the tarps with inside and outside tags so dumb people like me don't make stupid mistakes. Also, I saved a lot of time and effort by attaching the walls with bungees every other grommet and the same with the roof but different grommets. This seems to work perfectly well and saves a lot of time and effort. I have a couple other complaints. The outside flaps covering the windows are fixed to the tarps with a very thin strip of Velcro and it is seemingly impossible to fully seal them shut. They really need zippers instead. I also think that there should be a better way to roll the doors up, but I don't have a suggestion right now. The dual zippers on the doors work great, by the way. Thanks for posting!
@@GuitarBrew I lasted the first winter fine, then I had heavy wet snow combined with strong winds last winter that ended it. It was worth the money as a cheap temp shelter.

Yeah the dog and cat play a lot, he loves to chase but doesn’t know what to do when he catches lol. They actually cuddle at night.

That'll last about 10 minutes in a Northeast windy rainstorm.
It actually lasted all winter in NH and is still up and working fine right now.
If you don’t close the door, it will blow away! Ask me how I know
Add corrugated hard panels to roof trust me
After a year, how has this held up?
