- Hello, friends. This is a video on ABG (Arterial Blood Gas) interpretation. I have explained the steps of ABG interpretation with the help of some good examples. At the start of the video, I have given an overview of pH, pCO2, and bicarbonate, and how are they regulated in our body with respiratory and renal buffer mechanisms. I hope after listening to the whole video, you will be able to interpret almost all of ABGs. I will discuss how to calculate compensation, about the mixed disorders and about anion gap in my next video with the help of some more examples.
If you have any doubt about any ABG, do leave a comment in the comment section.

Great video👏👏👏👏Thankyou so much for ur valuable support 🙏 🙏 🙏 God bless you 🙋♀️
No doubt ABG .....super
Please upload compensation calculation .
Very informative video.
Thank you
varnika rajvardhan : Sure, will upload it soon..Thank you!!!
Video-very informative....
I can't understand partially compensated acidosis...if both the values (pco2 n hco3) either high or low, how to identify whether it is respiratory or metabolic????
When pH is low, ie., Acidosis and both pCO2, HCO3 are high.
High HCO3 should result in alkalosis not acidosis.
But if HCO3 is high and pH is acidotic, it means the excess HCO3 are compensating for excess pCO2, so partially compensated Respi Acidosis.
So if HCO3 and pCO2 are high but pH is acidotic, it's partially compensated Respi Acidosi
Mazaa aa gya❤
Thanks sir very easy to follow
Glad to know that ☺️❤️
Thank you sir
Tq sir ...,...for valuable information waiting for next videos😌

You're most welcome! I'll upload the second video soon! 😊👍
Very much helpful
Thank you so much Dr Kanti !!!

Thank yu in advance sir🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Good job
Plz upload second part of dis video.......
Ok. I'll try to upload it soon!
Plz release about chest x-ray interpretation sir
Vidhwan Sc : Will try to upload on that too..😊
Sir,when will the second part come?
Sir,I have a doubt...how did you differentiate whether it was metabolic or respiratory acidosis in example no.7 & 8??I don't get that...plz help🙏🏻
Please give link for 2 part of this video compensatory part
Interesting, easily catchable and comprehensive! ❤
Hope your next video will be uploaded Asap... Thank You! 😍
Hamed Habib: Thank you so much for the appreciation!!! will upload the next video soon 😁👍
Sir we learn about icu nurses
Wo icu m kis trah perform kare or best nurse ka khetab paie
for partially compensation you landed on either resp acid or meta acidosis based on which value (co2 or hco3) is more deranged right?
Hi Uzair. No, its not based on which value is more. it's actually based on, in which direction is it moving. If you see in example 7, as pH is 7.33 so it is ACIDOSIS (ph
o yes.. was making a silly mistake there.. i dint thought of HCO3 high means alkalosis so it cant be possible in your given example.. i used to follow a formula which is always right if simple acid base question.. its called same same metabolic.. if ph n hco3 in same direction is metabolic if different direction is respiratory.. and just check pH to know if its acidosis or alkalosis.. but with this i had abit of problems with more complicated questions.. anywho thanks for the great explanation, really love the way you explain in your videos like 10min ecg video.
oh..Thats amazing !!! Good to know, that u now understood the concept..Initially I was about to put that mnemonic ROME (respiratory-opposite direction, metabolic-equal/same direction) in my video which u are talking about..but in some cases, it'll complicate the thing..so that's why, always use the concept in ABG.. and not to just mug up the cases..U'll for sure can interpret any damn ABG..
Again thnx a lot for appreciating my work on this video as well ECG video..All good comments from my viewers keep me motivated to keep uploading good stuff on my channel.. Do share these videos with ur medico friends.. Thank you!!!
Please upload more such videos, ur video frequency is less
Where is the second part to the ABG videos? Are there going to be any more videos posted in the near future?
Hi. Will upload it soon!! 😊
@@INTELLECTMEDICOS yes please do it soon
sir where is ur abgs part 2 ??? i need it badly
Thank you😂❤
Made the ecg reading videos
Sir make emergency medical technician
Now days it is important know about some basic knowledge
We know basic knowledge
Of biology and mostly diploma like mlt d pharmacy
I am not able to find ur other videos on abg... Kindly send me you link
In examples 7 and 8
How did you tell whether it was respiratory or metabolic when both values pco2 and hco3 were abnormal
Pls explain
7. Think COPD, retainer of Co2. pH is still low though Cor is high, Kidney converts co2 to HCO3 , when fully compensated both will remain above normal.
8. HCO3 very low and pH low. Think Diabetic Coma. H ions have to be blown off by converting to Co2.. H+HCO3-->h2cO3--> H2O + CO2.
Hope this helps or else I can explain further.
Part 2 abhi tak nahi aaya hai
Part 2 kaha hai mujhy nahi mila
Sir Abg analysis ke liye konsi syringe Kam main lete hai
why ROME mnemonic is not situable in all conditions ??
monica preethi : not to be used in mixed disorders.
👍
example 7 and 8????
nice covering of important aspects of ABG
simple & understandable
Best part to me is the examples which help to consolidate information
Dr Med : Thank you so much for appreciation!!!😊👍
where is the 2nd video on ABG where you have talked about compensation and anion gap?
Yet to come. Will upload the second video soon!!😊👍
This is really fine made..thank you for this .please upload next video
