    Es ist meine erste Gelegenheit dieses romantischen Nonetts anzuhören. Erstaunlich fein komponiert und wunderschön gespielt mit farbenreichen und gut harmonisierten Tönen aller Instrumente. Der zweite Satz klingt besonders schön und echt bezaubernd. Der geniale Dirigent leitet das perfekt trainierte Ensemble im angemessenen Tempo und mit angenehmer Dynamik. Wahrlich lieblich!

    Written very well in the style of the "classical" composers of his day. Most enjoyable and certainly very performable.

      That's quite common for wind quintets to write the base instrument below the others.

    The main musical motif seems to be missing, while the interminable introductory musical phrase at the end determines the entire first half. The choice of the "nonet" is original.
