Saw this live at a bar filled with US fans..and this was incredibly tense..even more than some of the men's semifinal and final matches. There was a lot of skill and determination in play..Marta,Wambach and Solo in particular.They just did not want to give an inch to the opposition.

Nah, they might win more, but the top level of men's football is a lot lot higher than women's football. The men's USA team isn't even that bad, it's just football is a huge sport in South America and Europe and the players that play for them are the elite of the elite, so in comparison the US doesn't look great.
I think all keepers should be a specific height. Its not Chile, or Japans fault they are all 5ft tall. Hope Solo must have appeared like a god dang Giant to them. It should be fair. Like Horse Jockeys. Although no max or min in how tall...you have to be 125lbs or less. Jockeys avg is 4ft 10" to 5ft 6". Keepers should have similar standards. To keep it fair.

I know I saw that too. In contrast to this years World Cup... Ive seen probably 10 Pentaly Kick retakes cause the keeper didnt have atleast 1 foot on the goal line. Ive also seen so many PK's cause they went to instant replay and almost all were incidental kicks to opponents leg. They were inside the box and went to kick the ball and accidentally got the other girl and they give them a PK. Should only use replay for goals and out of bounds. Not for whiffed kicks. Not one that I saw looked intentional.

I live in a town south of Buffalo, NY where the Western New York Flash lived while they trained at a soccer/sports complex here. It's a small town, literally around 6000 people and it blows my mind that the team they had that year (Marta, Alex Morgan & Christine Sinclair) trained at the same place my 9 year old nephew plays. Two of the best women's players ever and Alex Morgan.... and that is my anticlimactic story to all you strangers out there.
This is my favorite USA Women's team of all time, maybe not the best , but it had alot of character, Abby Womach, and Hope Solo made me watch Womens Soccer loved every minute of this World cup, Thanks Ladies , Go USA!!!

It's a small town, literally around 6000 people and it blows my mind that the team they had that year (Marta, Alex Morgan & Christine Sinclair) trained at the same place my 9 year old nephew plays. Two of the best women's players ever and Alex Morgan.... and that is my anticlimactic story to all you strangers out there.
