@@lonzo61 I totally agree. I bought a DVD called Reunion of Giants when the Canadian Lancaster flew to England and performed several flights with the RAF Lancaster. Those two bombers flying together with 8 Merlins is absolute music. :)
Chevrolet built several models of the R-2800 under contract, including some of the newer C-Series models. Later they built R-3350s for Wright; the engines installed on Skyraiders was one example.
Very nice Aircraft with 6 , .50 cal machine guns along with 2 Pratt and Whitney R 2800 Wasp motors ,this plane flew in 3 Wars ,also 3 Variants of this exists ,some planes had Guns on the nose ,and some planes had guns in a pod under the wings ,due to its power and light weight ,this plane could carry a huge payload of Bombs
"Wick", I'm pretty sure. Yeah. Airport at a little town on the East side of the North end of Scotland. Which doesn't sound like quite the right direction... But if you look at the map, that's basically the closest stop for the over-water flight to/from Iceland.
Erm…an American aircraft and an American crew, with an American flag, and you take offence?! Your comment is idiotic. If you’re offended, keep it to yourself, because nobody else needs to know, or even cares.
Whats amazing to me is that the A-26 served into the late 60’s with the USAF in Vietnam, along with the C-47! Absolutely astounding! 😎😎😎
It's hard to believe this stunning aircraft is 80 years old. Congratulations to all who made this historic flight possible.
One of the best looking twin prop aircraft ever produced--military or civilian.
The B26 and Mosquito are my two fav twins.

The Mossie looks good and o sounds great. I have a slight preference to the Merlins over radials.

If you’re stopping anywhere in northeastern Ohio I’d like to come by and see you. Safe travels!
Chevrolet built 2100hp R-2800-83 engines? great big air cooled radial engines...wow, what a sound.

Ford built more R-2800s than Chevy and P&W combined.
@@zachhering5809 I checked; you can throw Nash’s 18,000 in there and Ford probably still comes out on top.
Just wow! well done all!
Was very good to see you again. It’s been a while. Hopefully see you at RIAT if not before at Coningsby or another fence line.
Good job team ❤
What a beautiful aircraft!
National Guard Bureau used one in the 1970s.
