Today we are watching Joker (2019) for the first time! Joker (2019) is directed by Todd Phillips and stars Joaquin Phoenix, Robert De Niro, Zazie Beets, and Frances Conroy.
His whole life, Arthur Fleck (Joaquin Phoenix) has been isolated and bullied. His dream of becoming a comedian dwindles away, and the harsh realities of the world begin to take their toll on Arthur. Eventually, Arthur snaps and begins to dive further into madness, leading to the creation of Joker. Gotham becomes a city of flames as Joker's message begins to spread.
