WWE 2K23 is an upcoming 2023 professional wrestling sports video game developed by Visual Concepts and published by 2K Sports. Like the previous game, WWE 2K23 features a hybrid of arcade and simulation gameplay. WarGames makes its debut for the first time in any WWE 2K game, with online support added for the Royal Rumble match.

Eh we always have CAWs. They always mess up attitude era rock anyways, they get the body shape and the hair wrong most of the time.
What i really hate now Is that the wwe only has big names in the screen . Now you only see AUSTIN OR CENA . The old entrances had like moments of their carrer with the music . That was epic

I play this game for the wwf attitude era wrestlers. The title matches are top notch. The finishers being executed leading to surprising kickouts. This game is amazing, cant wait to see 2k24
The rock looks quite accurate, but is it just me that thinks Austin's face doesn't look much like him? They probably didn't have him face scanned

I think his face is fine however the goatee needs more fading into the face to make it more believable because his goatee was never this thick.

It's the color of the goatee. They always make his and HHHs goatee look super dark., when it was more blonde
Two of my favorites of all time they had so many classic matches at wrestlemania starting back in 1996, to 2003. Love Austin and The Rock.

Nobody. Cause the original is better. Plus, 2K fucked up again with themes after the 3 count - they hit too early.

You would think with next gen they would be able to add the long walks to the ring and more atmosphere 😢 if only.
WWE games have never truly gotten the atmosphere right no matter who the developer was. The crowd noise today still sounds the exact same as it did in the PS2 era. Lifeless, doesn’t react properly to the action on screen. The belt looked good and lifelike during Rocks entrance and then in the ring it looked like it needed about another 10,000 polygons.

There's always going to be these hallmarks with the 2k games, along with floating hair and this weirdly smooth robotic movement. It's what keeps me from ever buying them.
Right. Visually on a screenshot those games look awesome. The details on the bodies and faces are top tier. However they still come year after year with those same issues. You can also notice an animation glitch when they introduce The Rock when he's standing in the ring. But back to the decade(s) old issues: The attendance is still full of clones - even on the front row - most don't even seem to look at the action in the ring. The stunner STILL looks weak as hell and The Rock sells it like he's a bag of potatoes ( everybody IRL sold the stunner in a better way except from Linda and Vince McMahon ). The ref inexplicably runs around the ring to make the super slow count. I could go on and on. Their games always ignore those details but they are so noticeable over time throughout the franchise, it's really frustrating to see them game after game.
Whenever I see those bland 100% positive comments I think bots are still a big issue for TH-cam.

I’ve always got a gripe with the audience audio. I’d love to see the crowd pop as soon as the entrance music hits or audience volume go crazy when the face wins

it's weird because they could just use the audio from actual shows to replicate the crowd pop but instead they've recorded their own generic audio which just completely flattens the excitement. The rock's entrance in particular is just terrible
The details is insane it’s surreal how they look in reality it’s great that WWE improving & returning some old stuff from the other past games
and it really looks no different on PS4. The PS5 craze was the ultimate grift.

The animations have to be redone, because Smackdown Shut Your Mouth is too old, and that was running on software that no longer works in conjunction with the newer software on modern game consoles. Did you ever wonder why Rock still had his Shut Your Mouth animations in the later games on the PS2 ? It's because those games used the same PS2 data that already existed.

Why they'd use animation that the person doesn't fall to the knees during the stunner is beyond me... Honestly, many chosen animations are not the common ways someone hits or sells a move... And they have the proper animations in the bank, they've used them before.

Why does Austin have massive abs and huge arms now? This is news to me. I’m not sure why this company still can’t even look at a superstar and copy their look in a game. It’s not hard whatsoever.
Always a gripe for me too. They make some guys look pretty accurate and then randomly make others JACKED and SHREDDED or alter their height. You'd have the likes of HHH making Mark Henry look small in some of the older games which was absurd lol. I wish they'd faithfully recapture everybody.

@@paulmallon9292 Yeah. I understand the WWE hype machine has to do its thing, but he never looked that way. He was big, menacing and muscular but not a caricature. It was the way Austin moved in combination with his look and work rate that made him so intense.

Cool match but after watching the whole thing, I think the better graphics are like a double edge sword. Looks great but you really can see where the animation starts and how the mechanics work. It's not a flaw really but something I've noticed over the past 2 games (2K22, 2K23)

I really hate the rocks model. Like i dont want modern day hot dog rock. Give me classic younger rock, the latest scans look awful because these legends are older now. Community creations can only do some much, they just need to remodel classic rock the old fashion way and stop being lazy. These legends need to be respected, i could care less aabout current day superstars. Put all the detail effort on the legends, they are the only ones i use in these games
Or just use the create a wrestler mode to customize The Rock the way you want him to look, but the downside to this is that you can't change his face or put hair on his head if you want the old Rock. You're gonna have to make a brand new model, and do that yourself.

We are almost to the point where you won't be able to tell WWE 2K from real life.
It will take a few new consoles before that happens. The movements in the game still are choppy and have gaps. It is getting closer though.

Is there any way to have a better camera angle in this game? I don't like how low it is with the ropes always in the way, and with the camera kinda tilting when they're at far sides of the ring.

The finishers aren't finishery enough for me. The reaction of getting stunnered used to be waay more dramatic in a good way. Rock bottom used to lift way waay higher before the drop. I loved that back in older games. Ill give this game A+ for detail tho

It's stupid but this version of Rock has been the same version since 2K14 due to that being the last time he was in in ring action. He hasn't wrestled a match since getting the new tattoo.
