0:47 at least it's not a "moving part" 😂
That's true.
I think this is BY FAR the most intricate bot I've seen you work on. Kudos. I've seen more levels of gears in one bot you've tangled with but, overall, I think this has the most parts to it.....pieces, wiring, gears, screws, posts, boards, motors, etc., which begs the question, have you ever failed to put back together an electronic gadget?
Eh... I have a robot that I started, couldn't get it white, ran out of time and had to do something else to keep up the weekly video, then got a new camera... Long story short, there's a yellow Star Galaxy in pieces with footage that's not HD.
The care and skill you use on these is astounding. Very satisfying to watch. Thank you.
Glad you like them!
I've found that if you want to remove old sticker, decals,or paint, use easy off[or dollar store brand] oven cleaner sprayed on part, and place in plastic bag for a few hours, then scrape off ,wash with dawn detergent
I appreciate that you are disrupting the Sharper Image to Goodwill pipeline.
Awesome job Randi--the battle bots have a great industrial look to them :)
Thank you.
Thank goodness, this is better than Saturday Cartoons!
Glad you like it...
Loved the finish you put on them, kind of grungy steampunk. Gratz on the skunk.
Thanks a bunch!
If you ever get to a point where you would create mechandise for your channel I think it should be shirt with a stylised image of the pick with the split ten-tooth-gear on it.
p.s.: The distressed paint job looks awesome! I love wheathering things to make them look old.
That would be funny.
for casting bubble free parts, put in dental pressure pot(used) and pressurize to 30psi with bike pump
its a pressure cooker with a bike tire valve on it
What color brown is tjst
Rust color
22:20 You were the subject of a lot of conversations!!
That place is used to it. They've seen crazier from us.
Inlove the little Testor Silver makes great chrome
Wow Randi, you really do have a gift for this stuff! I'd love to meet you for lunch or something and then go and see all you robots and ask you a million questions. I live in Florida though, so I can't..., actually, that's probably a good thing. LOL.
Well I get to Florida about every ten years. I have family there.
@@RandiRain I appreciate the sentiment Randi! It's that paradox again. Distance and anonymity are a blessing, but also a curse with TH-cam. We'll leave it to fate for now.
They look WAY cooler 😃
1:21 ok but consider this. It would be disorienting for the pilot to be in the head of the robot, so its better to put the pilot at the center of gravity. I propose that is the robots cockpit .... Ok that still didn't fix it 😆
Ah... I didn't think of that.
@@RandiRain Its ok.... I have galaxy brain thoughts all the time. XD
Lolol when you pointed out the little knob/handle between the robots legs…. Who designed that?!
If you notice in the next clip, it makes for a good handle to hold it.
@@RandiRain Which, given how you'd just highlighted it, had me laughing. :)
Damn you have a lot of skills how did you get into all this and learn molding and the electronics part??
Mainly learned by doing, but I used to work in Hollywood building stuff for film.
Its interesting you use those old
Testor enamel paint
That's decent stuff.
They're old paint because they are good paints. You don't stick around forever if you suck.
you addressed the elephant in the room a bit too fast
Great beginning.........Bot junk! :)
Tell me about it
I like the way you cut thay Strip of masking tape clever .
A little dangerous lf you slip
you made them look so much better!
Thanks
