Machine Head consistently put on one of the best live performances of any band in metal. I've been seeing them for over 15 years now and they've never slowed down.
And let me tell you something, they’re one of the most professional bands, a few months ago they came to Monterrey Mexico and perform an amazing show to not more than 150 persons with the same energy and professionalism that they do to more than a hundred thousand in this show. Fucking respect.
My best friend use to go back stage and hang with them anytime they came to new england. He sadly passed away the other day. They were his favorite band. Miss that guy.

I think it also comes down to Jared being one of their best hires! Saw MH in 2019 [Edit: 2018!!] not long before Phil and Dave quit - Jared's energy was definitely keeping things going!

I've been a die-hard Machine Head fan since 2000. Every album they release is a masterpiece, and their concerts are always bursting with energy. Robb Flynn is an incredible idol! As a dedicated metalhead, Machine Head is definitely one of the best bands out there! 🤟

Et vu le show offert ce soir, je regrette de ne pas avoir été présent au Hellfest, mais un grand, que dis-je, un immense merci à Arte pour diffuser en direct le Hellfest (et de nombreux autres concerts de tous styles!)

Bref, heureux que vous ayez pris du plaisir, j’en ai toujours pris à chacun de leurs concerts!
Probably my best moment at HF this year. At Hellfest you can measure the popularity of a band by the number of t-shirts that you see during the day. On the day of the show, I crossed maybe 3 MH t-shirts (including mine). In the following days, I crossed several 100s - bought from the official merch booth.
MH propably should be regarded the same Slayer and Megadeth by now if not higher. Honest opinion. They dont reach Metallica because of pure sales power but they are Metal Legends by now.

Robb is what 51 years old and still sounds amazing. Been a headcase since seeing them and hearing of them at ozzfest 97. As soon as I heard ten ton hammer it was over. That song is my forever song.
During this Hellfest 24, Machine Head proved to be so much smarter than Metallica when it comes to actually interact with a crowd and deliver + share a truly lasting performance. Exactly how a headliner should act in such context. It was incredible. By far the best headliner performance this year (big shout out to the Offspring and Foo Fighters though)
Honestly, they picked the best possible headliner this year besides Gojira. Rob's screams are the best I've heard to date and everything sounds perfect.
His singing is definitely not the best it has ever been. Not even remotely. Check Hellalive or the live show from the Elegies DVD. *That* is peak Flynn.

Rob never sounded this good, incredible after such a long career. Not found of their latest releases but there’s no denying Machine head truly are among the heavy weight of metal in general.
These dudes kill it live everytime! Incredible to see how accurate Robb is vocally, dude doesn't stop for hours on end and can keep his voice strong, it's crazy impressive. Saw them play for 3+ hours straight a few years ago and how he does it still blows my mind.

What a joy! Machine Head is one of my absolute favorite bands ever. I have seen 4 concerts live so far, including the first concert with my daughter (when she was 13). I saw the tour start in Groningen. Robb and Co. make no distinction between a small venue and a large stage. Great musicians, positive and family atmosphere. So deserving of headlining. Thank you for your passion for music
Je ne suis pas une fan de Machine Head dans le sens où, je n’ai aucun album d’eux et ne les écoutes donc pas d’ordinaire. Par contre, je suis allée les voir 3 fois en concert, et à chaque fois ça a été un super moment. Ce concert ne fait pas exception. Un grand groupe!
Je devais aller les voir pendant le covid à Toulouse....dégouté car ils assurent grave en live et en plus ils jouent plus longtemps que prévu...hâte de les revoir même 30 ans après je ne regretterais pas
Love Machine Head, they're cool dudes too. Hung out backstage with them a few times, and they're just normal guys that write killer music. They're always a good live show, they work their asses off and it shows.
Dans des interviews d'anciens membres, certains expliquent que le mr a un peu bcp d'ego. Et il y a bcp de turn over pour voir que le groupe est populaire. Rob est le seul qui reste depuis plusieurs formations.

Got me into metal from grunge in the 90s when I was a teen. I absolutely loved this album when I bought it, couldnt wait to get home to crank it full blast..... funny enough im 43 now and still crank it even louder! Its a timeless classic this album. Machine Head, Fear Factory & Pantera saved metal from grunge in the 90s, people forget that....

I've seen this band live since 2001-2022 in Fort Lauderdale every time they came down and they are hands down the tightest band live I've seen. Still crushing it!
I will write some story here. I can tell you I am a huge fan of Machine Head (first MH album when I was 15, I have 35 ) I saw them many times especially in 2007 for their Blackening album tour, for me, the top of their career. I did Rock Am Ring 2007, Download UK 2007 and Hellfest 2007 yes 3 fest in one month just for MH. All shows at this tour were amazing. I continued to listen them with in mind their old albums, their old live available on TH-cam and this Blackening tour. In 2014, I saw MH at Hellfest. It was under rain and it was unbelievable, then after this tour, MH deciced to stop to do big festivals and to play in smaller stages.I stopped to listen their new album. I was not really convinced and most members left the band. Robb continued, some good songs popped out but not real good albums I would say. I followed them time to time and continued to go to some MH shows Then, came the 25th anniversary of Burn my eyes. MH came on stage with a full new line up. They played the full Burn my Eyes album with original members of the band + 1h30 of their discography around 2h30 / 3h show with new members this time. Damn these old guys (especially Robb) still have fucking energy. It was so powerful. The fan in me was amazed again. After 10 years MH decided to go back to festival and was announced as headliner for Hellfest 2024. Here I am 2024, ten years after my last show of MH at Hellfest 2014 and.. I can tell you It was A FCKN BLAAST!!! One of the best MH show of my life (did a dozens). They were almost dead but MH like a phoenix is back from the ashes. The live performance was perfect. Music, sound, production, performance. And I can tell you the best of the 4 headliner of the festival SOOOO far.
Holy fucking shit.. what a set. I saw them in Portland Maine during thier "evening with" tour. Maybe 300 people in a tiny club.. Robb played with the same ferocity as here. The dude is all fucking time
People don't understand how incredibly tough it is to play these songs, sing, and work the crowd like Rob does it.

Let me tell you something, they’re one of the most professional bands, a few months ago they came to Monterrey Mexico and perform an amazing show to not more than 150 persons with the same energy and professionalism that they do to more than a hundred thousand in this show. Fucking respect.

These dudes kill it live everytime! Incredible to see how accurate Robb is vocally, dude doesn't stop for hours on end and can keep his voice strong, it's crazy impressive. Saw them play for 3+ hours straight a few years ago and how he does it still blows my mind.
They are still on point after decades. Amazing live and energy from guys of Machine Head. Huge respect !

What a joy! Machine Head is one of my absolute favorite bands ever. I have seen 4 concerts live so far, including the first concert with my daughter (when she was 13). I saw the tour start in Groningen. Robb and Co. make no distinction between a small venue and a large stage. Great musicians, positive and family atmosphere. So deserving of headlining. Thank you for your passion for music

Je ne suis pas une fan de Machine Head dans le sens où, je n’ai aucun album d’eux et ne les écoutes donc pas d’ordinaire. Par contre, je suis allée les voir 3 fois en concert, et à chaque fois ça a été un super moment. Ce concert ne fait pas exception. Un grand groupe!
Je devais aller les voir pendant le covid à Toulouse....dégouté car ils assurent grave en live et en plus ils jouent plus longtemps que prévu...hâte de les revoir même 30 ans après je ne regretterais pas

Got me into metal from grunge in the 90s when I was a teen. I absolutely loved this album when I bought it, couldnt wait to get home to crank it full blast..... funny enough im 43 now and still crank it even louder! Its a timeless classic this album. Machine Head, Fear Factory & Pantera saved metal from grunge in the 90s, people forget that....

I was disappointed by Reece's performance, Vogg is better, he plays the solos much better than he does.

I will write some story here. I can tell you I am a huge fan of Machine Head (first MH album when I was 15, I have 35 ) I saw them many times especially in 2007 for their Blackening album tour, for me, the top of their career. I did Rock Am Ring 2007, Download UK 2007 and Hellfest 2007 yes 3 fest in one month just for MH. All shows at this tour were amazing.
I continued to listen them with in mind their old albums, their old live available on TH-cam and this Blackening tour. In 2014, I saw MH at Hellfest. It was under rain and it was unbelievable, then after this tour, MH deciced to stop to do big festivals and to play in smaller stages.I stopped to listen their new album. I was not really convinced and most members left the band. Robb continued, some good songs popped out but not real good albums I would say. I followed them time to time and continued to go to some MH shows
Then, came the 25th anniversary of Burn my eyes. MH came on stage with a full new line up. They played the full Burn my Eyes album with original members of the band + 1h30 of their discography around 2h30 / 3h show with new members this time. Damn these old guys (especially Robb) still have fucking energy. It was so powerful. The fan in me was amazed again.
After 10 years MH decided to go back to festival and was announced as headliner for Hellfest 2024. Here I am 2024, ten years after my last show of MH at Hellfest 2014 and.. I can tell you It was A FCKN BLAAST!!! One of the best MH show of my life (did a dozens). They were almost dead but MH like a phoenix is back from the ashes. The live performance was perfect. Music, sound, production, performance. And I can tell you the best of the 4 headliner of the festival SOOOO far.
