Riding in the last row of Jack Rabbit really is a life changing experience. Just ask my mother, she broke her back on it. She still rides coasters though!
KENNYWOOD is an underrated theme park it has great rollercoasters and many other good non-rollercoasters the steel curtain has many elements to keep you from boring other rollercoasters and the sky rocket is a cool rollercoaster yes it might be short but I know it is fun and the exterminatioer is a great mouse rollercoaster and it makes it more fun in the dark see it’s not that bad I don’t know why now one knows this park it is fun
I agree with most of the list.. I'd swap jack rabbit and thunderbolt, that double down is better than any element on thunderbolt... along with Noah's ark, the turtle and kangaroo are must do's as well
Curtian has 9 inversions not 8 don’t let any one tell you otherwise, for if they do there lying. Thank you for the amazing words about Phantom Fall Fest aka Phantom Fright Nights as it used to be called! For a new coaster I think a lot of us really want a large scale thrilling RMC of some type to come to the park as the next coaster, but if the park were to get an invert I would prefer them to go with Vekoma for I heard good things about the stc and if having airtime and like most airtime is my favorite coaster element!
This review makes me want to visit Kennywood. Since I live in NY, I only go as far as Hersheypark. But Kennywood's rides look like a lot of fun. I think the inverted coaster model you mentioned would definitely be a perfect addition for that park. 👍👍👍
This was the park my dad went to when he was a kid. He talked about Jackrabbit, Racer and the Pippin all the time, but we never made the trip until I was in college the first year the Steel Phantom was open. When Geauga Lake closed forever, we told our very young kids we would go to Kennywood the next year. It became an annual tradition for us for years. Jackrabbit was the first adult coaster for both kids. The height restriction was 36 inches and accompanied by an adult at the time. My son was almost three at the time and I thought I broke his brain the first time. He hated it, but rode again that night (Last run of the day for the coaster!) and has been riding everything he can ever since. That was the first of many family pictures on a coaster. My wife and I try to embarrass the kids (who are now adults) by kissing when we’re at the camera. That actually predates the kids and goes back to the year Magnum opened at Cedar Point. Anyway, when my kids were young and wary of the bigger coasters, I would tell them to try it once and if they didn’t like it, I would leave them alone for the rest of the day and try again the following year. If they liked it, they had to ride it with their mom. We never failed to get multiple rides every time we tried a new one.
@@PatrickRyan150 That was my wife’s absolute favorite wooden coaster. When I was a kid, Geauga Lake was my annual trip to the amusement park, except for a year we went to Cedar Point and once to Kings Island. When it was bought by Six Flags, we got season passes and traveled to some other parks as well, but we were at Geauga Lake numerous times during the year. The last time we were there was our first trip with the kids, who were too small for the coasters, so we rode the Villain separately while the other watched the kids. No real lines that day. My daughter was finally tall enough for the pirate ship and she rode it about 5 times in a row, before it started storming. It was early evening, so they said there weren’t going to reopen the rides and my daughter started crying. I told her we’d go back “next year” and the next day Cedar Fair announced the park was permanently closed, immediately. We decided to make Kennywood our home park and made yearly trips. We stayed out in Monroevill, and made a vacation of it. If you have preteen kids, Kennywood is an amazing family friendly park, and the Carnegie Science Center and the Children’s Museum of Pittsburgh are fantastic places that are both fun and educational. Plus they have an Elder from the Dark Crystal and a bunch of Mr. Rogers stuff at the kid’s museum, if you’re an old need like we are.
@@KeepRidinCoasters Thank you! I love traveling to different parks for the coasters (Last summer was Leap the Dips and Skyliner in Altoona and Steel Dragon, Comet and Ravine Flyer II in Erie), but I have to admit that Kennywood is my favorite. I love history and Kennywood is absolutely full of history. Even Laffin’ Sal, who is creepy. So much amazing stuff in so small a place!
My home park! I worked in Kiddieland during the summers of 1977, 78, 79, 80 … along with being an “extra” when subs were needed on the “big rides.” I also was an extra for Guest Relations, mainly greeting band buses during the annual Fall Fantasy event. Great park!!
My favorite roller coaster there is Phantoms Revenge, followed by Sky Rocket, Racer, Jackrabbit, and Thunderbolt. I visited before Steel Curtain was built, I never had time for Exterminator, and the reason Thunderbolt and Jackrabbit are at the bottom of the list are because I got extremely nauseous on both of them somehow. I hope that doesn't happen on a return visit because they're both fun rides otherwise.
hey! I love your videos and have been watching you for 3+ years! finally got your merch last week and wore it to dollywood! (I got so many compliments lol!) video suggestion: next predictions for Carowinds, now that the merger is complete. And, will snoopy’s railway racers reset the time for carowinds to get a new coaster?
airtime addict. I loooove RMC’s 😅 kind of ironic though considering lightning rod was closed when we went… like I thought that the lifthill was supposed to be more reliable!
My home park! I love the diverse coaster line-up! #1: Phantom's Revenge (my third favorite coaster) #2: Thunderbolt #3: Sky Rocket #4: Jack Rabbit #5: Racer #6: Exterminator Haven't been on Steel Curtain because it's closed all the time and Lil' Phantom because I don't want to sacrifice my dignity.
Steel Curtain is #1 when it works lol. Only went on it once but it was great, Phantom comes pretty close though because of reliability and short lines.
If I ever go to Kennywood I’ll definitely be wearing my Buccaneers shirt riding Steel Curtain. FIRE THE CANNONS! Hey, did you see the score of the game today? 😉
I guess it's time for Kennywood to hire DH Morgan (after bringing them back from the dead through voodoo) and have them redo Steel Curtain. Hurray, another Morgan hypercoaster! I've got the perfect name: "Steel Vengeance." I like the sound of that. (Yes, I know Chance rides bought the assets of DH Morgan Manufacturing but the original company is no more. Plus, it's all just a bit of buffoonery so enjoy.)
Ok so I am not saying it is 100% but I asked a worker about top thrill 2 and he said “it will most likely open end of August” but I don’t know if it is true
This park looks absolutely unique and amazing insane collection of roller coasters but unfortunately, it is not gonna be a bucket list park for me as of right now and that is mainly because of the crime rate in the area specifically the 2022 shooting that took place inside of the park and the attempted assassination on our former president Donald Trump that was committed by a 20 year old man who lived 20 minutes away from the park. And by the way, both the Kennywood shooting and the assassination attempt actually took place at large venues that required all guests to pass through metal detectors and have all bags checked. If Kennywood was in a much safer area that didn’t have so many violent crimes and incidents then this would be a bucket list park for me.
Be honest i feel the racer can go. I got one ride on it and its in my bottom 300. Its a classic though. I wouldnt mind if Phantoms revenge was a little bit longer lol
My favorite is the thunderbolt!!!!!!! I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND! I don’t live in Pittsburgh but I do live in Pennsylvania!

That double down in the back is insane!

I think Phantom is very underrated and doesn't get the proper respect it deserves! It's def a top 10 coaster without a doubt!
Yeah, I definitely agree. Phantom's Revenge is a very underrated roller coaster and it needs to get talk about a little more. 👻🎢
I’ve been waiting for this!!!

That's awesome! Did you ever ride The Villain at Geauga Lake? It was one of my favorite coasters.

Phantom's Revenge is not only the best coaster at Kennywood. It is my 3rd favorite in PA, and number 6 overall.
It’s sooo good! Thanks for watching! 🎢
Phantom is pure bliss!
When we went here last month, we wore Burrow Jerseys even if we didn’t get to ride steel curtain. Who Dey!
Haha yes!!! WHO DEY!
Here we go Steelers ⚫🟡
this place is my home park. excited to see what you liked and what you didnt like!

Are you joking on the name?
I'm a Baltimore Ravens fan
The park itself it’s 40 acres, the parking lot is also 40, so in total it’s 80
Just went to fright night last night. It was great. Zero lines anywhere. Yeah the exterminator in pitch black is kind of wild.
I feel bad with the fustercluck known as Steel Curtain. Maybe too ambitious for S&S?
How can the second drop of phantom revenge be higher than the lifthill?? This physical imposible isnt it?
the second hill offers the larger drop :)
The second drop travels down into a ravine. It’s probably the most notable part of the ride.
Ok so I am not saying it is 100% but I asked a worker about top thrill 2 and he said “it will most likely open end of August” but I don’t know if it is true

No carowinds ;)
