Nice. Recently they reopened the old canal and you can sometimes see people on boats passing below through those glass water features.

Mooi maar Ik mis toch wel het oude sfeertje al die eetkraampjes in het begin en de levendigheid daaromheen. En nu kan je zonder kaartje ook het station niet naar binnen.
Het voelt inderdaad wel wat afstandelijker dan het oude.
I really like this video because it's a nice variations to walk in mall and train stations, among all the videos walk in city or sea.

We went there a year or so ago, and couldn't find our way around, miss the direct connection between the station and the town, and no having to exit the station before going into hoofsplit
It's the biggest complain Dutch people have about Utrecht Station, the disconnection with the city. Thanks for viewing!
I remember when Hoog Catherine was built and it was great when it was new. It looks very smart again now but the trouble is that it could be anywhere. Half the shops and signs are in English (even 2theloo) and even the tall buildings next to the station could be anywhere in the world.
I hope that the rest of Utrecht hasn't lost its character in the same way.
Could you do a walk in the outskirts near the Rietveld Schröder Huis?
It's like that everywhere. Secretly i hope internet shopping destroys these big chains (at least their physical stores) and it will make room for local goods again.
Don't worry, the other side of the station is very much the old Utrecht with all it's unique character. The Rietveld huis is a nice area for a future walk for sure :)

luxury,modern & complete the train station the centraal Utrecht.
Its change, its more big than i ever remember few years ago....
It's even bigger and made more modern now (all old sections are gone) and it's way more crowded
