Learned a lot from this Richard. So much value in such a short vid. Thank you for this tip/secret 🤫. I love how the strings get inflated and bring a nice wash without stepping on their own pants.
Nice trick...I'm composing with single instruments (Spitfire Symphonic Orchestra), so I've violin 1, violin 2 and so on...should I put the reverb on every single track or can I create a bus track for all the strings?
Hi Rich, Thanks for your video! I’m using seventh heaven reverb of liquid sonics , and Berlin Studio of Simplicity. Is that too much? How do you recording your space of the reverb plugin? Or that you meant to record the mics of the strings or brass and add the mics above all as a different layers? I’m a bit confused );
It was the outriggers, we doubled those reverbs - reverb is so much fun and can completely upgrade your track if used well, which in that case it was :)
I held off buying it for ages but the brass patches alone are worth it! Great bit of kit. A lot more in your face than Spitfire stuff but really useful for more brash Hybrid stuff.
Hmm, now you've got me wanting to hear the OTT and the splosh! haha! Thanks! I've smashed all the smashers! Salutations from astonishingly grey, yet mild Ireland! ☘☮🤘🏽🤠👍🏽☮☘
"Bigger". Actualy it's a problem of vocabulary, a classic misunderstanding. When we composers hear "big" we understand a big instrumental mass, hence we add things to build up the mass, but when a non musician says "big" it coult mean "large", "ample". We often have to decipher what other people mean with their own words. 😉

You’re welcome 😊
Thanks for that tip! A publisher I'm doing a sync album for just asked me to make the strings sound bigger! so thanks again for this!

Good stuff!
Thank you
Bro just discovered the reverb 🤦♂️
Would you be interested in adding FREE Bricasti M7 and Lexicon 480L reverb IR to Logic Pro? :)
Absolutely - Was tempted to use just the stock plugins like I normally do for these but thought I should dust off Altiverb for once 😄
@@thetrailermusicschool Yep! Every once in a while we have to to those unused (or rarely used) plugins. :)
Good idea 👍
Its a like a Roadhouse insult. I thought it be bigger 😂
