Roman deserves 100 bonuses, he's super. I wish he would start his own video blog. Cooper is off to a good start awesome job. Big thumbs up to the crew
Thank God you have Roman, that you can rely on… you two make a great team. 😊
Cole, I have been watching you for many years, and I don't understand why this darn movie theater is such a priority for you. This is not as important as finishing your home for your family and giving your parents back their home.
On one hand I understand your view, but also I would like an opponent to you- better do all the big jobs once for all and not disturb family life later, especially with little ones living next to construction site.
For example I do reconstruction in a house room by room and I'm already tired of living in boxes and constantly rearranging my staff because of reconstruction
He is a selfish moron...no blueprints...no inspections...he deserves any problems he has.
It could also be a tornado shelter as they often occur near his house-which would make it a priority.
That is what Cole is calling it. It was not covered well on the other floors, but this will be a multi story addition to their home. They are making room so they can keep growing their family. There will be an attached garage as well. Cole just chose to do it now rather than try and do it later.
That's your opinion, obviously not Cole's. Hmmmm...who's opinion matters more at this property? MYOB.
Cole I must commend you. I am a 72 yo grandma in Oklahoma and my grandpa was a farmer in Appanoose County Iowa. He was mostly growing corn but he never had to drive a semi, a skid loader, a tele-handler, an excavator, or use a computer or deal with all the government programs you guys must now a days. Kudos to you, Daddy Cornstar and Cooper (what a rock star on getting all that equipment ready!)!!!!! Oh yeah and I cannot forget his friend Zach and of course the workhorse ROMAN the GOD of CONSTRUCTION!!!!
D.C. is such a great image of what is a good man. Seeing him, and hearing him speak so highly of his boys. Always put a smile on my face. It's infectious.
You are so blessed to have Roman!! You guys are awesome
Roman deserves a BIG raise. ❤️
If roman got a raise every time this was commented on a video, he'd have more than a 10,000% raise lmao
I like that DC said that it takes a team to run a farm! What a great family!
Roman is a rockstar!!
It’s easy to take food for granted, great to appreciate how hard farmers work to get food to the supermarkets! Thank you all
Grow for biofuels, ethanol?
@@TM-sm5qyshhhh! Let the city folks think what they want 😂
@@peteparker7396 It's also goes for what's harming USA health, it goes for processed food
Cole it's called administrative duties that have pulled you away from the project. Finally nice to see you out of the basement and working on the theater. Roman is truly a rockstar! 💜🇺🇸
Isn't it nice to be needed Cole? You will remember this time of your life fondly. 😊
Roman you’re so right. Without actual plans drawn up for the whole project ahead of time is what’s causing you guys to have to keep going backwards. Like the basement project. All that foundation work should’ve been first then work up to the basement. It’d be well worth it for you & Cole to sit down using an app that helps you draw out plans with all the measurements/requirements needed so you’re not wasting time & money trying to figure it out on the fly. If the foundation fails, the house fails.
Aren’t the required to have plans to get the proper permit to build?
Wow, this is epic! Keep it up!
You are very fortunate to have Roman. He is very dependale
What does dependale mean?
Most people can figure out what was being said. But there's always got to be one.🤔
@@mrsdig57 dependable! Now i got it. Have a nice day/night :) English is not my first language, sorry.
You guys are all amazing. Thank God for farmers.
I have lived in houses with and without a walkout basement. I would highly suggest adding another one before you're done with the construction.
I second that thought!
How the heck do you add a walkout on a house where the whole basement is under the grade? Sounds like a drainage nightmare.
I agree. A walk out basement is a security issue but its really functional
walk out at the back of the theater.
@@zacharyapple8526 you put in a retaining wall or concrete wall. Then you run the drain tile to the creek like all the other drain tile installed in that house.
Loved every min of this video! You did great!
I am a Bridal Dress designer and seamstress in the Seattle area. I cannot get enough of your channel. You all are extremely educational, informative, and fascinating to watch. I never knew much about the large farm industry but love to watch you video's as often as you post. Just awesomeness all the way around.
I love that Dad is out there having fun.
Roman is a BEAST!!!!!!!!!!
It's good to have a splendid work ethic ❤
It's Oct., hard to believe this theater is going to be closed in by the time the snow flies.
2 days and the footer isn’t dug yet 😬
Yeah no shot of that happening.
There is just a ton of shooting yourself in the foot with this project. Dig the hole, which makes it harder to finish the main basement work, then dig up the drainage holes that you just filled in to put your footings in. Like Roman said, a set of plans would be nice.
i think Roman need a beer :) i do like him and yourself got really good chemistry and I like how he will push you out of your comfort zone :)
I've been looking forward for this video. Pretty darn awesome sir.
Roll the beautiful bean footage!!
Cole, why do you have to SCREAM at us???
You could always use the volume button to turn it down.
The screaming n the over explaining gets to me sometimes. I'm like I been watching I know what your doing you don't have to explain it every video. Lol
This underground theater project is so huge. It's almost like building the pyramids of Egypt.
DC team work is a beautiful thing especially when family is involved. its pretty cool how you operate and everyone pitches in whenever, where ever. God bless.
Thank God for all of America's farmers!!
Can’t believe you don’t have some sort of plans for this. You’re inviting rework and errors. Roman, bless you and your family.
I can’t get over the fact that the combine front is wider than my whole yard. Wow!😊
If Cole's children are anything like my kids, they will ignore the underground movie theater and prefer to watch everything on their handheld devices :)
Wow, this is a disaster 😂..
Hands up all those who've heard the fable "The House That Jake Built"??..
Cole, why are you digging footings on top of the ground-drains you installed??..
Ya know that's not how it's supposed to be done, right!!..
Ya footings are meant to be poured on "sold-ground"..
This series is absolutely awesome 💯 😂..
Gotta love America.. it's the only 1st world nation where a farmer can randomly choose to build a house, without any kind of experience and absolutely NO safety or construction inspection whatsoever 😂..
The best bits are when Cole takes the first 10mins of each vid to explain to everyone watching, how to do the job completely wrong!!.. 😂
And then Americans wonder why their houses blow away in the slightest breeze 🌬️
Man, I wanna live in America 😂..
Good job Zach doing very good. God bless you.
I am out of breath watching this video. lol it was awesome none the less.
Just had the soybean cloud today, 50' from our house. Looked like snow, fog and smoke...all at once!
Having grown up in a rural Midwest farming community, and now being a longtime Cornstar viewer, I continue to be amazed at the fortitude of farmers. Case, John Deere, and all the rest should count themselves incredibly lucky, as the fact farmers don’t simply put down their tools, storm the factories, and burn them to the ground is truly a miracle. Every bloody season, having spent the entire winter preparing the equipment, repairing the equipment, replacing the equipment, the very moment said equipment enters the field, it breaks. Every single time. These manufactures aren’t even building in planned obsolescence, it’s just planned incompetence at this point. How can anyone sell a machine with a straight face that cannot operate in its planned environment without a series of recurring, continuous, and aggravating repairs. It’s just madness. God bless the farmers, and grant them peace from the insanity they willingly commit to face each and every day.
my uncle, a life long row crop farmer, use to say that he worked six weeks in the spring tilling, planting and cultivating and .another six weeks in the fall harvesting and plowing. the rest of the year he spent repairing and maintaining the equipment.
and 70 bushel beans sounds fantastic. that uncle above was excited if he got 40.
Just stop,,,, that machine is over 10 years old and that many moving parts you are going to have problems, period, end of story. That’s what happens when you buy used. Nothing against it, that’s how some have to operate. But beware of what you’re buying.
You have been very busy today. It's great to see you taking care of farm and family business. Thank God for family and friends to help you along the way in life.
Once in a video that Nave did, as she drove up to the house sight, she paused looking the "Hole!" as she put it. It's fun seeing the same thing from varying points of view. Good work guys and yes Nave, it's a big hole!. With Aloha...
Love you all Daddy, Cole, Cooper, Roman and last but not least Zac👍
❤❤❤❤❤
The underground movie theater would be a great place to watch movies if a tornado is heading in your direction!
Nothing to it but to do it!
Thank God you got Roman and Roman you're doing a great job 👍
And what is guessing it doesn’t come into the rescue a lot in your hand guys but God bless you. It’s a good job. Well done. I love you Roman. I know you’re not gonna fail: corner star all the time you are coming 100% for your game and I love you and take care of yourself. God bless you and God bless your family. Good job.
It's Roman to the rescue, Cole is doing too many tasks...btw, Apple should be a sponsor since you're always using their laptop (i.e. MacBook).
Yea!!!I love your channel! Thanks for sharing!
COLE talking about how to do things but then says we are digging up what we already dig up in order to do footings over top of the tile. Guess the footings and structure built on top of plastic tubing won’t crush it and fall in. What??
Rent a total station for your surveying. They will give you a quick course on how to use it.
If we were neighbors I would let you use mine.
It is the only way to measure with such uneven heights.
Cole and Neva - I would strongly suggest taping off your furniture placement in your den/living room. It looks very small and once you put furniture in there, it’s going to be tight. Figure that out now where you can move that wall out a few feet. The room connected to it is huge. Just my opinion - I’ve lived through a renovation and better to make sure the size you need now before it’s too late.
Just let him make a huge mistake and then we can watch a series about having to redo an entire room
They don't even have drywall up yet and you are already talking about furniture. We are at least 3 years away from that point at this pace!
@@ginadelsasso288😂😂😂 saying what most of us with common sense are thinking. Speaking of that, does anyone else think WTF is he doin messin with this ridiculous movie theater instead of trying to get his family out of his parents basement?
@@xephael3485you aren’t funny. Let’s be positive.
@@ginadelsasso288 Don’t you have some IKEA furniture to put together?
Hey man, im sure you have seen many comments about this already, you really need to replace those red poles with something proper. those are not meant to be permanent fixtures. i think even your family got a bit concerned about it when they saw them
Hello Cooper , Poppa Cornstar , Roman, poor Roman , Cole must be the middle guy from the House and the Fields . It’s Sunday afternoon around 3:12 pm from East Texas , hope yaw have a wonderful evening .
Lots of progress in every area ! 👍
Great video ! 👍
I love having both topics on one video!
Who wants an underground theatre? Who wants to let others do the farm work harvesting without helping? Who wants to spend unlimited funds on a 100 year old house? Who wants to do things without any inspections? Who wants to get things done without any experience? This is not right,,,
Sorry but, think I would just buy a huge T.V. and save the $400,000 you're spending on an underground movie theater.
That's you. Cole can do whatever he wants with his money. NOYFB!
You have one of the best families in this crazy world today.
Wow avoiding farm work and house work at the same time, you are efficient
😂 love your outlook!
Great job everybody. Everybody has their own skills making the family business working 💯 per cent
How have the architects still not given you blue prints all these months later?
Just wondering about the septic system and how you will bring the cement to the basement. Love the renovation!❤❤
They can use a pumper truck with long hoses to pour the basement floor, probably through a basement window.
Glad you are having a good bean crop.
Thanks and have a blessed day
I don't understand how you can do Any type of Building with NO PLANS OR PERMITS. IT JUST MAKES ME LAUGH 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I am sure you told us at one point, but why is the movie theater a priority over the house? Not that I don't enjoy it all, but I am anxious to see the rest of the mansion evolution.
I'm wondering the same thing myself.... You would think getting his family back in their home would be more important than this huge addition. I constantly wonder if this giant addition could have been put on after the fact that they were already in the home. It just seems like such a large footprint of an addition that it's like building a whole other house on the side of his existing house.
He is another video. Starts off with COLE telling us the same thing he has said for the past several months. Goes straight to Roman doing the work and COLE sitting at a computer. Hmm.
Roman probably don't care he's getting paid.
hey im cole the cornstar its the year 2045 today we still have to complete the basement
Yup not much progress. Dig a little fill it in dig a lot more then fill it in repeat. Where are the blueprints
You guys are doing a
Wonderful job.😊😊
Give me 40 acres and I’ll turn this right around.
Give me 40 acres, it’s the easiest way I found.
Some folks can turn it on a dime, or turn it right downtown.
But I need 40 acres to turn this rig around.
Well done guys 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏💙💙💙💙💙
If you were to take a shot every time Cole says ‘underground movie Theatre’ there is a good chance you wouldnt remember your own name by the end of the episode
why is the basement floor not being poured first? a concrete pump truck could drive down and easily shoot it in , seems like a lot of backwards steps, then do footings outside then pour theater floor , ugh the bouncing around to start projects gives me anxiety lol a lot of extra work
God bless you all and thanks for sharing these wonderful videos!
4ft wide footes ???????? You are not building a SKYSCRAFTER LOL
I must say one more thing 👍
Your moving mountains there Cole 😁
And I can imagine those dirt piles would make for a awesome snow sledding hill or a awesome ramps for your dirt bikes ...
daddy Constar God bless you keeping all those children online, lying them up one by one and grade, but you are the one motivate them to have a good job but done it well that God bless you and keep you safe for those children and I love you
Cole : I'm just going to grease these 2 spots.
Me : You mean 20 spots, Right Cole?!!
Cole : Yes..200 spots!!
Me ; 😂🤣😁
Hey everybody 🤗
my right ear feels so good.
The difference between a mansion and a house is the bathroom to bedroom ratio, when the remodel was started it was a house 4 bed:2 bath ratio but seeing all the work progressing is absolutely awesome. Keep it up Cole
Back in the day when that place was originally built (100 years ago) it could very well have been classified as a mansion because it was extremely rare to have a house with a single bathroom let alone two, and the square footage of the house being much larger than the average house in the area could also play a part in that not to mention the cost of the home as well. I agree that in today's age this would be classified as a house, but100 years ago?
@@mark15vintage9 there are houses with equivalent sizes and whatnot in the local area to where his house is it did have a lot of firsts for houses in the area the only thing that gave it any classification as a mansion was the fact that they had servant staircase. Again there are other houses in the local area that do have that feature. I know this because I live in the local area. The work he is doing is still outstanding in the fact that he's doing it himself is a testament to his resolve to keep the house in the family although other than the main shell there isn't going to be a lot left of the original house.
@@mark15vintage9 I will add this though the house I grew up and was built in 1905 and was the second house on our farm which has been in the family since 1852. And is a 5 bedroom which like Cole's was the first in the local area with indoor running water and a actual full functioning bathroom. Difference between his and ours as we did not and do not have the second staircase nor did we have the large water reservoir in the basement that Cole had removed from the original pressurized water system.
Two questions, how you going to get concrete in basement sense your doing movie theater first, second question, why are you not finishing the house done inside so you can’t move back in
Cole, you are so many hats you're going to need at least one extra head !
Why are you putting a heavy wall on gravel that has a drain pipe under it? The drain will eventually be crushed and the wall will move
Fun videos but an ad hoc build. Roman said it at 9:20. Should have a complete set of engineer drawings. It’s an ego thing vs a practical thing. But people like structural engineers study for years for a reason. Greqt all the fans think Roman walks on water but fact is a building like this shouldn’t be Mickey Moused.
I’m confused about this process, re-digging drainage trenches to put footings?
@@leafystreet9247 yes agree. I do think roman is an absolute legend. I don’t want this to go wrong for Cole, so just making the suggestion. Hopefully they will see it in time
I was hoping that I misunderstood the footers on drain lines back months ago. Now I see I heard him correctly. This is Bad. No Bueno. Non Est Bonum. FAIL!! THUMBS DOWN...
Folks who have watched this for long enough know that behind the scenes both Roman and Cole are following instructions from a structural engineer. They also have designers and an architect helping behind the scenes. Point is, we don’t see everything, including site inspections that clear them to proceed to the next phase. Agreed though, structural engineers are worth their weight in gold, I’m certainly using a fleet of them to knock down half of a semi-detached home.
Pop Corn is right there for your dad's cam.
Good job Cole.
Cole,I used an attachment on my mini excavator to read my laser, this way I could dig without going out all the time to check my levels.
It worked very well and was not over expensive
This video should be named “I gotta work on some other stuff” 😂
Cole, have you gotten Floorplan dimensions yet. It may help viewers to understand how big it will be.
Also, one guy couldn't understand why such a big hole in the ground.😅
Wow wow that's a wide footer
11:21
Yeah I’ve never seen residential footings that big ever the addition must be six stories tall or putting a commercial building there instead waaay overkill
Thank you for the update señor!!!😊
Love Daddy Cornstar CAM. So good to see the harvest work and work continuing on the house. I was very worried that the dust cloud was gonna swallow him up!! Roman, you work so darn hard. You make me feel like a slug 🐌 😂.
Coming along Nicely Cole and Roman Dad and Cooper
Roman is the real star of this show 😄
So exciting 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Cole says this is the underground movie theater. I would bet it’s more like a bomb shelter/tornado shelter
I don't know cole says he wants to help but since this house project started he avoids hard work like its a plague he does no hard work on the house and if it wasn't for Cooper and Zach the farm wouldn't run cole doesn't do anything anymore roman is an absolute machine
Why would you put a movie theater in when your house could be done right now and you and your families will be living in the house
Something that'd be kinda cool: Could you take a walk to the end of your drain pipes so we can see whats weeping out now if anything? The whole weeping system seems to have been really effective and I'm curious what the day to day flow is like without rain adding to it. Huge change from the Cornstar Mudbog you had at first...
If OSHA was there they’d putting a stop order until you shore up the walls where Ramon is working. He should not be doing that by himself either. 😳
I can't help wondering and would really like to see an exterior elevation of what the theater will look like when completed
