Cr90 as Ahsoka ship with practical possibility of a kyber crystal energy system and weapons (cough cough ... Jo Casta Nu Lightsaber gun and Death star super laser types ) by huyangs lightsaber knowledge and she did have a CR90 before in rebels and as Huyangs crucible was a CR90 esk ship . And it was a more capable and can be highly modified for dogfighting and knifefighting too like how Anakin used a corvette against droid fighters and kyber crystal weapon systems (maybe synthetic or purified sith crystals) or energy system ?

9:30 - Huyang's quarters are not a repurposed galley. The kitchen is actually the room symetrically oposite ( port side of the ship ) to Huyang's quarters. (I was in charge of modeling it in 3d for the scene where Ahsoka goes into it when Sabine first comes on board that you can see at 8:23 ).

_edit: __4:11__ as an example; also when they make their emergency landing on the planet (not in this video)_
From what I can tell, they exit far away from the landing legs... But a humanoid, Ahsoka for instance, is basically the same height as the wing is thick; therefore, a person would have no room to walk out, as seem in some scenes. 😕
I just chalked it up to those in charge being all "Oh well, it's fiction anyways" about it, and saying it's fine. Which, that precedent was already set by Mando's N1, which CLEARLY has a protruding engine *directly* under the Droid Pod. That was fine when it was just Grogu's compartment... but when he talks R5 to Mandalore and R5 exits... 😂 Well, somehow R5 turned fluid, and made it through a tight S-bend, in order exit _aft_ of that engine! _(a good 4ft behind the droid's viewport on top)_
I don't let them detract from the show, of course, but are small oversights I found a bit surprising. 🥴
Anyways, great work on the model. There was so much beautiful detail in that scene!

@@TimPimentel3006 Keep in mind that our studio was not tasked with modeling the Whole T6 shuttle : we were only tasked to model the set extension of the kitchen for the live set and the opinions that follow are my own, not Lucasfilms, ILM or even the studio I work for :)
As a ship nerd I respect the idea of the question, but that's not something I have as an answer nor do I think anyone spent time thinking about for now.
I know that it's something that is thought about when creating ships for star citizen ( for instance ) as the ships are fully playable spaces and seen from any angles imaginable, but for something like a TV show or a movie, it's not critical to nail down at the time of making it for it to work for 99 percent of viewers to enjoy it regardless.
Think of the millennium falcon. Sure, people over the years ended up fitting a layout into the exterior shape of the ship weather it was fans or lucasfilms contracted artist. But in A new hope, it was just disconnected live action sets and a maquette of the ship. Same thing here !
      Hope this helps :)

      studio I work for :)
Like I said in my comment answer to @TimPimentel3006's comment, the ship itself and any scene that goes on inside it should be understood as separate. Live action set are designed to be eazy to film in and around and maquettes are modeled to be pretty :) Hence some disparities are bound to happen.
Since I cannot speak to any decisions that were made by people at ILM or Lucasfilm's as I do not work there, I can only guess. I'd say they had to abide by established size lore from the clone wars TV show version and use that for the show. More than likely that animation model did not take into account human sized inhabitants. But again, this is just a guess on my part, not facts.
As for your : " those in charge being all "Oh well, it's fiction anyways" about it, and saying it's fine. " , I'm sure it happens/happened in the past, but I personally roll like that ! I like to give purpose and sense to everything I do when it's under my power even if it will seem insignificant to you guys ! I am convinced there is a large majority of passionate people like me working on the shows, but keep in mind it's a huge machine ( the movie making and visual/special effects process ) and time is finite resource. Oversights are bound to happen.
"Anyways, great work on the model. There was so much beautiful detail in that scene!"
Thanks but we did not do the common room ( as it was a live set ) and I doubt you saw much of the details of the kitchen itself as ahsoka covers most of it and it's quite small in frame. ( last thing I want is to steal credits ) But I hope the set designers and set crafting people who worked on it see this and take the compliment :)

I wonder about the massive VOLUME of the wings. No sophisticated modern real world aircraft fails to take advantage of wing volume for fuel or something. And these wings are massive. One would think a better design would have been to locate the engines in the wings rather than using main hull space. To me, the wings represent nothing but exaggerated vulnerability to collision or hostile fire.

You need to know it nor to understand Sabine maybe but it looks like they're changing her character enough that her backstory in Rebels is not as relevant. I think it was quite a shock for people to see ahsoka in mandalorian especially with Luke. Anyone who just watched the movies assumed there were no Jedi besides Luke after return of the Jedi. But now there's this very strong, older and wiser force-weilder around to give him advice and support? Where the heck was she after Empire?

There are a lot of questions, like why Sabine lives on Lothal, and not with Hera, Bo-Katan or Clan Wren? When and why did Ahsoka Tano take on Sabine as a padawan, and does Sabine have some Force abilities? During Rebels, Sabine showed no Force abilities that Kanan Jarrus recognized even during Dark Saber training, but she was very undisciplined.

I would note, compared to the original during the Clone Wars, Ahsoka’s has a 4th engine, increasing its speed and maneuverability, a tail gun, allowing for some defensive return fire, and better shielding, as it was able to withstand the fighter attack AND turbo lasers during the mission on Denab. So Ashoka obviously remembered her experiences on previous missions using older versions and installed some much needed upgrades.

Judging by the pictures of the official LEGO set (called "LEGO® Star Wars 75362 Ahsoka Tanos T-6 Jedi Shuttle") it also has two canons mounted on the wings right next to the cockpit, but the prior iteration "LEGO Star Wars T-6 Jedi Shuttle 7931" which looks like it's meant to be the shuttle that Anakin crashed also included two rocket launchers as part of the main hull so the new LEGO set including those canons must be taken with a grain of salt

I think we have seen enough light-saber stab wounds to merit a comparison and if they were survivable or not. I'd love to see an analysis of the stabby deaths in Star Wars, ie. Qui-Gon, the inquisitor, Reva and now Sabine. To me it seems like consistancy is out the window. again.....

The thing I don't like about this ship is the size of that wing. It's only the script that allows the pilot to find a space to land. Traffic has to be routed around it so other people can find parking spots.

I don't think ships in Star Wars factor in lift when it comes to flying. Especially considering that ships can essentially just hover. Like when you showed her ship docked in the vertical configuration

Doing something just because of how it looks is one thing but taking into account the species of the designers is why people love lore so much.
I constantly go back to Conan and Robert E Howard. He wrote a universe and creation story for the planet and people before the story. This is going along the same lines. It is sad that creators don't understand this.

I mean to be fair, most original designs of the filoni-verse are pretty silly looking, and most exceptions are holdovers from the EU. There's at least a part of the lucasfilm studio that feels obligated to put as many moving parts and exposed wires on stuff as possible like they have to one-up the B-Wing and V-19 Torrent at every turn.

An idea for a future video might be how/why Huyang now works for/takes orders from Ahsoka since she now has no official ties to the order and thus no authority to ask anything of it (Heck, technically Baylon might actually have that kind of authority). It might also be fun to discuss what would happen if it underwent a routine memory wipe too.

The rotating wing is completely nonsensical. There's no "vertical" in space, and the ships have artificial gravity. And why doesn't it fly with the wing horizontal in atmosphere? Maybe there's a reason, but the vertical wing makes it a much bigger weapons target in atmosphere. Silly.

You just had to mention pop up headlights. Those things never should have existed at all, stupid, useless, always get jammed, dimming and wires issues...they devalue classic vehicles, a 1964 Corvette Stingray with popups is worth $10,000 less than a standard '64 Stingray with the lights behind a glass shell and matches the aesthetic of the 6 rear lights. My advice to anyone buying a classic muscle car with popups, replace them immediately with LED standards, it's an upgrade worth paying for, so is replacing a 4 speed auto transmission for a 6 speed manual one. Trust me, you won't regret it.
