Some of these songs bring back memories from my high school days. And who ever imagined that "Staying Alive" would be used as an example of how fast you need to do chest compressions for CPR. 😂
These were the days when people were talented compared to the crap we have now at the Grammy’s. A bunch of plastic music that doesn’t mean anything. It’s a shame how music, society went down hill. Music will never be the same again.
John was certainly different and he was his own man. He didn't follow the crowd and had a purpose. John could sing anything but didn't buckle when they tried to push him to country music, he stayed true to himself. Thank you, John.
Thank you, JDHTOE! I hadn't seen these before. Why did he not get a Grammy nomination when he was outselling everybody? And I wonder what it was like for him to host when "they" never saw fit to give him a nomination??
I would have loved to have seen the expressions on the faces of the Gibb brothers when he was singing Staying Alive. I love the Bee Gees to death but if you are too white to sing one of their songs, you are very white indeed.

Oddly enough, Billy Joel sounded a little like John Denver on Colld Spring Harbor and Piano Man.
