I was there. I was a few days from turning 12. One of the few fond memories I have of and otherwise very abusive stepmother.

I believe that setting an intention in your heart is the way to manifest your strongest desires. So John, when I leave this earthly form and travel through that magical portal to the next dimension, please be the first soul i meet in the light on the other side of eternity. I got to MEET John in 1975 after his show in Atlanta ( that's a story by itself) and thanked him for being a role model for my own budding talent ( I STILL play I'm 68). what i wonder: has Taylor Swift ever seen you tube of his performing? I think she would be in awe as we all were. they both embrace peace, Cats ( I say that on faith) earth nature human rights. RIP John Denver...

It's incredible how John was able to "hold it together " for this interview, because it was like 2 weeks after he had put Cassie out of their house, when he decided that it wasn't worth it to stay with her. Probably why he was out celebrating alone with his band! Being able to get away from all the tension at home, was probably a great relief for him at this time!

I read somewhere that British royalty men are not allowed to touch opal stones with their bare hands. It is supposed to be very unlucky for men to touch it! Amazing to see that John wanted to visit the area where it was mined!
