FHP Pursuit Leads to Shocking Discovery | Jacksonville, Florida

- On March 9th, 2023, an FHP trooper was patrolling Interstate 295 when he observed a silver vehicle in the center lane with illegal window tinting. Upon querying the license plate, it was discovered that the vehicle was a rental belonging to Ean Holdings, and a traffic stop was initiated.
The driver, Kabreshia Latwanis Caldwell, provided her Alabama driver's license and stated she was traveling to Jacksonville to visit her sister. However, during the encounter, the trooper noticed that Caldwell was visibly nervous and shaking, and she spilled coffee on the passenger seat while fumbling with her phone to locate the rental agreement.
Despite the vehicle's window tint measuring below the legal limit, the trooper requested backup to conduct a K9 free air sniff of the car's exterior due to several indicators of possible illegal activity.
The FHP K9 Unit attempted to have Caldwell step out of the vehicle, but she refused and became increasingly nervous. When the trooper saw her reaching into a bag behind her driver's seat, he began to suspect that she may have a firearm. As a result, Caldwell quickly put the vehicle into drive and fled onto Interstate 295 South. And the troopers initiated a pursuit.

Not excusing her behavior and running from the law on wanted posters. She put way too many people and the police in dangerous situations.
She’ll probably do 10 years in prison, and get out and do it all again. We don’t know what her other charges are, so she may do life!

She was doing decent while on the run, she knows how to do it, was allowed to do so by employers and such, but she couldn't do it before so she committed crimes huh?
@@Ray56z Because she was probably born into breaking the law with ease. It’s a thing where parents and grandparents were doing the same thing long before she was conceived. As a small child babies are like sponges, and most everything they learn comes from the ones that are responsible for their upbringing. As they grow into adults, they really hone in their craft and get better at it. That’s all they know, and easy money for them. I’m not a child psychologist, but there have been studies on the matter. Look it up, it really is a thing.
Obviously it will never be a defense in any court.

Window tint laws vary by state and rental companies transfer cars across the country. So what may be legal in Texas may be illegal in California. It depends on where the car is originally registered.

This is her career.
The 4 years she spent on the run looking over her shoulders, she could’ve already served her time and probably paid off most of her fines to all 5 counties even got some charges dismissed with plea deals and been done with that mess. Hopefully even changed her life and started fresh. Now she’s added on some felonies in a different county and this time they’ll probably deny her bond since she’s a flight risk thanks to the last judge who let her go.
I keep asking: Why don’t cops place a flat tire strip in front of a stopped car so it can’t drive away? I see case after case where the suspect driver suddenly drives away and the police officer has to run back to his car and try to catch up at high speed, which is dangerous.
Well first logistically speaking they’re probably going to want their hands free when approaching the vehicle, but i don’t disagree that’s a good idea. Maybe get one in from of their tires asap.. ive seen videos where they will put a strip in front of a car like what your suggesting

OMGoodness this is my neighborhood!! I'm glad I wasn't out this particular day! 100mph going through Argyle and Oakleaf?? She could have effing killed somebody!! Window tint is an officers worst nightmare. There is no telling what might be pointing at them as they approach these vehicles.

There is a flip side to this however. Dark window tint also protects citizens from would be carjackers and robbers. Nobody is walking up to a car that they can’t see inside even with a gun because they don’t know if one is aiming at them beforehand.
She's a criminal, I would not believe a word out of her mouth. She should be in jail for the next 20 years for her past offenses and another 10 for this mess. The number of charges is irrelevant for a fugitive.
when i'm eluding the FHP i make it a point to go through as many parking lots as possible so as to slow my ass up for the upcoming PIT maneuverer. works like a charm, been arrested every time too!
And allowing time for other units to respond...There is a new expressway right next to that shopping center patrolled separately from 295...That's a REALLY busy shopping center too, amazing no one was injured due to this lady's recklessness. I know a few of the FHP guys in that area, they are absolute professionals.

She sits in the back of the cop car in cuffs for a bunch of charges because she blew it & was rough on herself by her own actions, not to mention how rough she was on the officers by making them do their job in pursuing her in a high speed chase & how rough she was on other drivers by putting them in danger & her excuse is, "the officer was too rough in the way he spoke", boy that beats it all!!
He scared her, but she still wishes she could escape. She moves her cuffs around and asks to be cuffed to the front so she can bolt again. There's no end to her defying law and trying to elude justice like most who break the law. Anyone who gets in her way is just out of luck.

We see this time and time again. Person pulled over, 2 cop cars there, but they dont have one of the cop cars pulled in front of the person, and the person takes off putting innocent driver's and pedestrian's lives at serious risk
I’m not positive, but I think the 2nd car doesn’t pull in front is because that would put each officer in the line fire of each other if a gun battle occurs.

What I don't understand is why you have 2 police cars, BOTH parked behind the suspects vehicle. Why not park one of them directly in front of the vehicle that has been pulled over, just to reduce the chance of them fleeing, like in this video?
