    Love the video! You’re one of the few TH-camrs that uses dry humor and I love it!! Question: what’s the name of your “theme song”?

    I always thought you rolled your stirrups up like that to stop them from sliding down! I tried rolling them like that while lunging my horse since I had the problem of them sliding down and hitting his sides. It worked really well!!!

    Hey, Shelby! How often do you recommend oiling to preserve and protect stitching?

    Isn't saddle cleaning so much more satisfying than all the little straps in a bridle? Oh, and if you wanted to go exotic, instead of speeding up the polishing parts, you should produce it as an ASMR video... :) I bet people would watch it!

    I see a lot of hunter/jumpers who use half pads all the time but am I correct in thinking that when your saddle fits correctly you shouldn't use half pads because they change the fit? And that it's better to have a correctly fitted saddle rather than just use half pads?

    • @toriwallace9622
      @toriwallace9622 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Charlotte Equestrian Thanks, that was helpful. I guess that's also something to ask your vet/saddle fitter since all horses are different. I thought it might have a little something to do with it being a fad. But thanks again, this did help! :)

      Tori and Ryguard half pads are meant for wither relief

    Nice video! One question, are you really supposed to clean the seat of you saddle? I have aleays been told not to because it can rot the stuffing? I am most likely wrong but does anyone know what the deal is?

    • @Milestone-Equestrian
      @Milestone-Equestrian  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I've never heard of that and don't know why logically cleaning the seat would damage the stuffing more than any other area of the saddle.

      I have always heard not to use oil and stuff on the bottom because it stains and ruins saddle pads

  • @AmyLouiseYT

    Any tips for that icky white "mould starting" look on braided reins?

    • @Milestone-Equestrian
      @Milestone-Equestrian  6 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Standard Equestrian Depending on how dry and/or gross they are I would soak them in saddle soap for a bit and give them a good scrub, let them dry then use a sealing conditioner that offers some protection. Make sure they aren’t being kept in a damp area too

    This is a long shot but I think you might have a form of OCD called harm OCD where you constantly fear the people and animals you love being injured or dying, even with no reason or evidence to support it.
