Why do we see so many pro-boxers in superwide stance, though? Just one example here, Ryan Garcia v Jose Lopez th-cam.com/video/ZujA_tXU5ts/w-d-xo.html but I see it often in fights.
It's an easy way to hold your ground, use your athleticism. But if you watch old school guys....Ali, Leonard, Whitaker...not always so wide. But not all fighters are wide all the time. Even in that link you shared, I see Garcia using narrow-stance a lot too.
Look I need your help I been watching your channel for years people been bullying me for years and I'm tired of it . I always mind my business and I'm always trying to avoid conflict but I always end up with concussions I just need your mentor because you helped me thru out alot of situations I just need help man personally
I don’t know what environment you live in but you gotta get out of there. Always being in a state of stress isn’t good for you. Remove yourself from a place of bad vibes or change your environments. And then yes, learn to fight too.
nice tips about direction of knees.i hurt my wrist punching mitts.stop going to gym anymore ,i fear i may destroy my wrist for good, maybe i need stronger forearm before i should pick up
Well, jab is 10x more important than other shit inclusive of the cross, so I never worry bout being 'too bladed' because it is not a thing. As long as you are dynamic and do dodge / clinch but are bladed naturally - it' s better than forcing yourself into more of the boxer stance. Do you disagree, coach? Btw I got mad reach that's why i sound like this :)
This finding your stance has been complicated. All you really have to do is stand in both stances and throw a jab the stance you felt most comfortable throwing the jab that's your stance
@@expertboxing Not really because if you feel comfortable throwing the jab southpaw or orthodox then the rest of the punches will feel natural. If fighters didn't feel comfortable throwing their punches from one stance then they'll have been constantly switching stance.
Basic stuff, but perfectly explained!
glad you like it, tero
You always have something solid. Keeping your knees pointed in the same direction is subtle but makes a big difference.
Yes, that's a solid one! Took me years to learn. Hahaha.
Outstanding

technical info : do NOT stand SIDEWAYS completely. It's disadvantageous.
yes, literally one of the most basic starting tips any good coach will tell you.

trying hitting lighter and work on technique before throwing harder. good equipment helps...

Don’t agree at all. But it’s a great topic for the next Q&A series!

you would think so....but actually many people have a horrible stance because it’s only suited for the jab and nothing else ;)
