awesome video and even better product. Double stitching and a quality made in the USA product. I will be ordering more in the short future. Thanks again
I wish I would of seen this video yesterday. I pulled the caps and that spring spun. Is there a video on how to reset the tension and the best way to do it. I got the fabric on already.
sorry for the delay....Are we sure this is an Ascent model? A picture of both end caps will let me know if and how to reload spring tension without removing the fabric.
Great video, thinking of replacing my topper, which is beginning to rip. I had a look at the apparatus after looking at your video and noticed there are no set screws holding the topper. Are these necessary. or is the lack of screws the reason it is beginning to separate.
So when I get around to replacing the topper, should I use set screws, or not bother as I got along for five years without them. Thanks, appreciate your help@@Toughtopawnings
This video makes it look easy to replace the topper but cannot find the proper allen wench to remove the screws. It is a square wench. I didn't locate it on your website and cannot find it. We live in Michigan. Is there a place that you know of to get this tool. Thank you
Hi there....you are right, you should just need an Allen wrench....if you have a set of them one will work...just need to try a few out....we don't sell them on our site but Amazon and local places sell sets that will work. if you think its something different send over a photo....thanks
Does the slid-out need to be fully or partially extended to replace the new fabric? I thought I had read somewhere to have the slide out 6" or so but it seems to tight to roll back to pin when fully extended?
HOW WERE YOU ABLE TO PULL THE FABRIC FROM THE RIGHT SIDE ?? DID YOU SPREAD OPEN THE RAIL ?? IF SO WHY ?? WHEN THE LEFT SIDE IS OPEN FROM THE FACTORY. PLEASE EXPLAIN
You can remove the fabric and install it from either side. Whichever way is easier. We had a factory opening on the side we removed that from but if needed you can go either way.
This video is so helpful! Thank you, I was able to do this job myself thanks to your excellent video work and clear instructions
Hi Karen. Thats great! We are happy the video helped, enjoy the awning and happy RVing!!

What model is this and how many turns is it to adjust the spring I have the same one but I did not know I have to stop the string from moving.
This will get me started

Good video I was just wondering how can you put exit tension on the spring
hope this helps: For adding extra tension you will want to add that before putting new fabric on. Rotate roller tube toward the RV 3-4 full rotations.

For slides they should be all the way out. Good luck! Let us know if you have any other questions.

sorry for the delay...I just sent the question to Tyler, we will be in contact soon...happy holidays!

My end caps look like the ones in this video but I don’t have the long cover in between. Would the process to remove the fabric be the same?
Hi Tony....The process should be the same if then end caps are identical.
Some models just don’t come with the full roller tube cover.
The title of this video is incorrect. This is a replacement, not an installation.
sorry the title confused you!
