- 風車草成立20年，首次將作品帶到海外，不是其他，而是《回憶的香港》。2019年後的移民潮，令港人散落在世界各地。
阿祖接受訪問時提到，本來項目叫做《消失的香港》，因為當年要申請撥款公演，因為「個名好似有啲negative」，所以改為《回憶的香港》。
對他來講，有些事物、有些東西消失了，但大家對香港這個地方的愛，開始了，就不會消失，或者大家無法隨時宣諸於口，但總是可以同志同道合、思想一致的朋友心領神會。
講到移民，他說「移民」是其畢生志願，因為他想要的生活模式，在香港這塊土壤，不可能實現，他想耕田，想專心只做一件事，想有一個較大的空間去生活、思考。不過，幾年前，他徹底打消移民這個念頭，覺得有些人離開重新展開新生活，但都總要有些人留在香港「看屋」，守住剩餘的。

I lived in London 18 years , always felt like an outsider, 2nd /3rd class citizen, always a Ching with our dark hair n eyes n our beautiful shallow skin😊 luckily don’t have to worry about money, otherwise even more ‘white eyes’! Sold houses in UK, back to reside in Hongkong 2010, best move in my life, such easy living, free life style here under the umbrella of our China 🇨🇳 feel more comfortable under guide line from motherland China , rather than being dictated by foreigners who don’t understand us Chinese nor consider our interest seriously!!! The UK government doesn’t even love their own people. So sad the British have to live under a non British government!

移民到外國生活，如果只停留在以前的生活，不願融入當地的生活，就真係唔好移民，但不要經常說人家歧視你，就好像很多中國人移民到外國，想將別人的國家改變到像中國，大聲講說話，旁若無人，隨地吐痰，拉屎拉尿，還要歧視外國不如中國，這些人可以在所在國罵當地所政府，真奇怪他們.那麼愛中國，為什么不回中國，要在外國受罪，回去吧，中國歡迎你😂

If you've been in UK for 18 years and still feel like a foreigner. Sound like that's your problem. Many immigrants have moved to UK, not just Chinese people, yet they all feel at home.
18 years is not a long time.. for me... I have lived here around 46 years... and even then, both my father AND my grandfather.. actually were pure 100% Cantonese as well. I don't think that they are actually hakka either. Cos around that time period, there wasn't that many individuals that could go in or out of HK. And that was before the second world war as well.. and even before everything. And ironically... one of my second cousin removed... Because she lived in Singapore before, and has her surname spelt in a Singaporean way. But she does not actually know that, she married her other cousin as well. Cos he was from HK. (My mother was telling me the history of the families in UK around before....) And it is even more funny that, they both chose to marry chinese, sorry... Cantonese.... but refused to marry an English person. So well.... Isn't it weird ???....
Today, in HK... SOME people are actually 100% Cantonese... (through bloodlines, if you checked)... and some were born in Singapore.. or from HK.. but they are both from Cantonese bloodlines... and not Hakka.. which was another group of blood lines as well.... So when people say that they are from "HK"... what does that mean ?? The refugee HKer ? The Cantonese HKer ? The previous Qing's or Song's Imperial HK'er ??? Some aren't actually mixed race. At all. I just wanted to make that clear. The reason why capitalism came up and why the US ties was because the likes of Forbes.... married a Cantonese. Otherwise, there would not BE trade. At all ! Cos there is no need ! After the war, rebuilding the country is money and it is trade.. but since there isn't... then why get involved ?? Why ??

I know that feeling... this time, when I went back to HK... I saw a mother with her 3 children. I smiled... and asked her something in Cantonese. And she doesn't get it. And then I tried English... and she answered me. And then she felt this threatening position.. and this defensive position. I felt so... gut wretched in my stomach. I was also very surprised too. And then, this... student.. a young man... he looked at me and raised his eyebrows as well when I spoke Cantonese. I found that really gut wretching. 😭😨😧 She found another woman very hostile.... OMG...

We must not forget that.. the reason why money exists is because of the post war period...
And yet, Korea and Japan is one of the few remaining actual countries that kept themselves going and growing steadily in families... even though they didn't meet GDPs... But HK... Cantonese, Chinese... lost. It lost out... actually. It didn't keep and became Chinese. It drew into a mess. I realised now why.. one of my cousin did long distance, even though he migrated here, and they were childhood sweet hearts... And they did long D for at least like 10 years.. even before moving to get married, and he saved money. I always found that odd... and yet, even those of us were quite educated, could have ID cards has ID cards, were also marginalised as well. And now, 10 years on... what is left of the economy any way ? Other countries and regions would actually protect their own regions, and their own economy. HK could've been like Japan, or South Korea.. but it didn't. Even Ireland has protected itself too.... HK did not. It was basically stripped off its people. Not money. Stripped off people, and of land.
Germany was realistic: It said basically..... "farmers were turned into engineers".... Really ? Without education ? And this was fine, right ??? They have kids.
South-East and East Asia... They prospered.

I didn't understand the arguments before.. now I get it.... the other times were a lot of "asians" that is already mixed race cantonese, or hakka or singaporeans, who keeps going on about the opium war? But.. so therefore, they see Britain as a threat. But when I read the Cantonese characters.. and knowing my families' histories as well... I realised that, Britain, was in a way, also protecting the cantonese as well... Meaning, they literally signed treaties, in relation to... protecting their borders.. and hired the local cantonese to work. Cos who else would have been given this opportunities ? When pirates came.. who were these pirates ??? Even Jackie Chan's Project A talked about this as well. Vancouver people often talks about the bad decisions.. and yet... whose money came back into HK and into China in the end ? They cannot ALL be Singaporean money.. who were the coolies ? If somebody did not sacrifice.. then would they be in a position of power today ? No. They would NOT be in the so called position of powers today.
Not speaking out, to benefit yourself is JUST as bad... as using your hands to fight.
