Me and the wife make this drive at least twice a year from San Diego to San Francisco. It's one of the only reasons i stay sane, seriously. Drive a couple hours north of Morrow Bay, stop at random turnoff at an abandoned beach. Realize that the entirety of the California coast was once this desolate and beautiful. Weep for humanity, walk on the beach for two hours and not see another human. Batteries recharged, I'm good for another six months of mindless grind trading hours for dollars. Repeat..
@wimpie25 You probably have no idea that California's state budget is even more disastrous than Greece's. It's debt-laden and they have to cut back on everything.
