Open source it? Isn't it like making life out of primodial soup in a way. Or are you guys using microbes to make proteins, the soup kind of looked like it had microbes. Shouldn't there be research paper on this? Why it is called solar foods if there is no photosynthetic process involved? Can you guys point me in some direction?

edit: EDIT: apparently they are electrolyzing water for H2, which the microbes consume for energy - a hydrogen oxidizing soil bacteria. Such microbes also assimilate CO2, and presumably this organism can fix nitrogen as well. Thus all that should be required beyond are sources of phosphorous, sulfur, and trace elements. Their organism is suitable for industrial-level fermentation and can be engineered to produce different end products and feedstock. The overall process is more efficient than using lights for photosynthesis.
So, its not making life out of primodial soup. :| Correct me if I am wrong please.
