- Hello and welcome back to theHunter: Call of the Wild! You guys have been asking me to mess around with some of the older guns, like the muzzleloader, and that's exactly what we're going to be doing today. So Pablo and I are heading to the Yukon Valley to test some of these old school guns on Moose and Wolves, and see if they still hold up!

And here I am. crawling for 5 minutes per animal to get close, ensuring I line up every shot I do properly before shooting, and here is this guy, blasting like a madman at everything and running everywhere.
I don’t know how the bloody hell this guy does it - these wolves sense me from another solar system and yet they can’t sense this guy from a few feet away!

I’m a newbie but this map was by far the most memorable, getting attacked by a pack of wolves while working out how Inventory etc worked😅. ( steam deck…ps it works a beaut)

The Hudzik absolutely rips and its far and away my favourite gun in the game. Its a shame it doesn't go to class 9 though, cause it wrecks bison and lions and what not. The only catch is it does a lot of damage so even bad shots will more than likely make the trophy bleed out and fail the harvest check. So fun to use though. Also, the Wolf glitch is present on console and so is that weird prone glitch when reloading the Hudzik.

Just bought this game with dlcs since steam sale is insanely cheap atm. I love this gun so much. One well place shot always pays more that enough for another 10 shots so it's very cost efficient.

Something I just learned recently. You don't actually have to open the menu to tell your dog to track. If you're on the default control setup, just press B on your keyboard twice. It's so much more convenient.

I just love those loadouts! It is so much fun to hunt. I even startet a moose grinde with the muzzle loader :D But for the real old eperience you can use the black binoculars. They are old and have no range finder :D
for this special loadouts, could you write them in you desciption?

If only there was a hotkey you can set up (or use the default) since i know you don’t like the look of it, that toggles the HUD on and off so you can see the wind direction (so you can actually get closer than 60 yards) and check your ammo situation so you don’t pull the trigger on an empty gun…….oh, wait. There is a default hotkey set up to do that. But hey, if you want to keep struggling because of the wind blowing your cover, it makes the videos a touch more enjoyable to watch.
Oh, also, by default, the ‘x’ key on your keyboard makes your character whistle loudly, which is ideal to alert a laying animal or to get a moving animal to stop for 2 seconds.
Edit: I mean no disrespect by my comment. I know you don’t like the HUD, but you always end up in less than ideal situations because of the wind, which you have no idea the direction it’s blowing since you keep the HUD hidden. But I figured I’d let you know you can toggle the HUD on and off easily AND also whistle to alert or pause something you want to shoot. Constantly switching to the 22 and firing off a random shot and then swapping back gets so tedious after awhile.
I actually didn't know there was a hotkey for the HUD, thanks! And no worries, I get it. the problem with 'x' key is that they always run away after a couple of seconds, but the .22 can be used to make them stand up/pivot

Go on Yukon Valley go to the start on the train tracks and only kill animals off the train tracks you can only go off the tracks if you’ve killed an animal 😄

Glad you found that muzzleloader, its power compares to the 300 mag, and it can really smack deer too.
I just recently learnt that in cotw you can get a rare fur type for black bear called ( brown ) You can get a rare fur type for Grizzly bear called ( brown ) BUT THERE IS NO ( BROWN ) FUR TYPE FOR THE ( BROWN ) BEAR?!?!. And I would 100% recommend taxing that female gold I have never seen a level 2 make gold let alone a female level 2

The level 7 was diamond potentiol at the end it went up to 39
So in the hunter call of the wild are usually mountain goats in Bighorn sheep and I have a bear drinking time on my map and my bears always run under the water if I shoot them and they just start doing circles, and once they literally flew out of the water like 50 feet in the air

Wolves are always broken. Also caribou 100% do make diamond. Not always but my first level 5 was a diamond. Level 4s don’t really make diamond though

That burnt forest is my favorite place to farm up easy kills on big animals. That’s how I got the .300 win mag. Only map you can farm up $40000 in just a few hours. I use the inline muzzleloader more than any other gun tho it one shots big animals better than that .300 I was trying to get. I use the inline more than the hudzik because I can put my night vision scope on it. Slow to reload but crazy knockdown power. Nothing ever gets very far after being shot with it😂😂😂

If you play the story missions in cuatro Colinas it will give you a diamond Iberian wolf
since the labrador dlc came out, the animals have become very buggy, I don't know how you noticed it in Mutliapalyer

Yeah, since the Retriever update, I've also noticed that the Badens have been feeding the wolves zoom-zoom pills. Dammit Baden...
(For like the 99% of the people who have probably never played the singleplayer missions in COTW, the Baden Family are recurring nuisances in many of of the game's reserves...back when the singlplayer missions were more than just a tourist checklist that is.)
